That’s good that it hasn’t been a burden. Some people worry about leaving their wives collections to dispose of. My kids will split my collection up and I hope they use them for years to come.

Interesting the contentions that these are 2 pieces of metal fluxed together. Consider the skills of English firearms makers of that era like James Purdey, the clock and watchmakers also.

I found the W crown R (the Royal Warrant mark) knife also marked Alsop Patent but it has a normal spring type, darn! Not in the best condition. Wharncliff whittler with horn handle material.

Here are the pictures as promised of the old girl in all her 150+ years of glory. I assume the broken blade was a pen matching the other one.
