This is how poor folk improvise.....
I love Imperial steel and now have a fixed blade with a sheath, but knives aren't easy to access when they're tucked up under my side roll
and son't hang low enough.....LOL. Plus I'm slightly less flexible then I was last week....LOL

Quite a while ago I bought a knife from Scott (3F) and this lanyard was attached. The wrappin' paper hadn't even hit the floor yet and the lanyard was off the knife and on Mary Jo's keys. Thanks

I don't know if you can find it but this book is excellent. All the leather braids work equally well with paracord. I did try making my own rawhide with my sons when they were young (whole nother story and mad wife!]. The belt I made in the early 80's. Mostly play with paracord these days.

Nice work on that belt! Thanks for the tip, I'll Do some research on the weekend and see If I can find that book anywhere over here. Who knows, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. But it's still a good tip for others who stumble across this thread so Thanks for sharing that Bill! Even if I don't find it, maybe someone else interested in Lanyards will.

Made these yesterday. Knife fobs or zipper pulls for backpacks or luggage.

Here is a belt sheath for folders. It works well for folders that are 4" or longer closed.

I had a few relevant knives within arms read so I decided to take some photos for this thread...

Well..., all I did today was bought 50 yards of paracord in 8 colors. 50 altogether, not 400. LOL! And I made a lanyard for my new Imperial knife that my buddy in PA sent to me. Turned out pretty cool I think. Grey cord with foldable tip for easy on off option. 9mm shell with rubber shrinkable hose on it to avoid scratches and also gives it a stealth look & a soft feel to it. Think I'll add some hose to the folding tip tomarrow as well. Maybe I'll also add a little piece of stag to the lanyard tomarrow. I bonded with this knife on first sight and it's in my watch pocket right now. Hope that's ok with you Ryan if I EDC it. I'll take some pictures of all the knives I got this week & post them later or tomorrow but I'm guessing tomarrow. I'm being lazy today & I'm on a roll right now!

Thanks John. My so called "Lanyard" isn't really very impressive without any braiding but the Imperial pen knife is a pretty cool little dude! And it has great snap! No idea how much paracord you need to make a nice lanyard but my plan is to find out. One thing I do know, I could make a very long lanyard with 50 yards of paracord if I wanted to. Or..., I can screw up, get mad, throw em away & start over a lot of times. LOL!

Unless it was an oldtimer or a 4-wheeler, I'd have absolutely No interest what so ever. Don't enjoy working on EDC cars at all.
