I've been up the road visiting with one of our neighbors this morning, the one that had his truck and tractor crushed by the oak tree a few weeks ago. While I was gone our friend Walt called and told Miss Joy, he and one of his daughters were going to the hospital to spend the morning with Miss Camille. This afternoon they will remove her life support. What a difficult time our friends are going through. Joy and I talked about this for a few minutes and we realized that we may be a bit selfish wanting our friend to remain in a flawed body. Makes one wonder if we spend too much time praying to keep folks out of heaven? Our desires are not always the Lord's will. We ask for comfort as this unfolds.

Something we don't always consider Philip. With my father in law and my own dad my prayer was don't make them linger. Of course, Your will not mine.

Phil I'm praying for all involved including you and Miss Joy. Friends are precious and it's hard to lose them, even if it is only temporary.

It's hard to lose friends and family and harder to see them linger. Praise God that He knows when it's right to do either, but it's t still hard for us to wrap our understanding around. God bless you and Miss Joy and Camille and her family through this difficult time. ____Dave

There's nothing selfish about not wanting to lose your friends or family. It's hard to know what to want in a situation like this. You wouldn't want to lose a friend/family member, but you also don't want them to suffer or linger if there is no hope of recovery.

I will pray to ease the heavy burden weighing on all of Miss Camille's family and friends' minds.

All that has been said is true..
God is sovereign and His times are His times.
It is not selfish to want to hold on to a loved one and not see them go.
Losing someone is never easy.

We can take comfort in one thing alone - those of us who have Christ and have lost loved ones who also had Christ - we will soon be joined once again and gathered together at the great wedding feast. Oh, what a rejoicing there will be!

Jesus, may the power of Your peace bring comfort to all who call You Lord and Father. In Your name I pray. Amen

Update on Miss Camille
Walt and daughter are able to stay with her. After being removed from life support, she is breathing on her own. The family and the staff feel she is resting comfortably, a waiting game. Friends, family and church are still praying for comfort be it a home going or a miraculous recovery.
Please continue your prayers.

A final report on Miss Camille:
My heart is saddened but I am also happy to report Mrs. Camille Ashley is in the presence of her Lord. Miss Camille left us this morning at 7:30.
Thank you for all the prayers and please continue to pray for the family and friends who will miss her greatly. She was a very generous lady who loved the Lord.

I'm so very sorry to hear this, but we all know that she is resting in the arms of our Lord now. There's now more pain and no more suffering for her. I pray that God will comfort all those she left behind and reveal Himself to them with His perfect love and understanding. Amen.

I told my friend Walt about the many prayers and comments y'all have expressed on behalf of his dear wife and he asked me to tell everyone how much he appreciated your concern.
