I bought this knife towards the end of January and I'm just now getting it finished off. There are multiple reasons why I didn't get to it sooner had, mostly I just haven't felt like working on knives. But thanks to the absolute boredom directly attributed to the corona virus I cleaned up most of my workbench, so I had to dirty them again by working on something. I had a few works in progress sitting around the shop, actually that's not true I have a whole bunch of works in progress sitting around my shop, I just chose some that I thought would not be too difficult to finish. The arthritis in my hands has stepped up to a new level in the last few months so I am working at a reduced pace and not taking any new orders now.

If you go up for five posts you can see the pictures I took of this knife after I received it. Those are the before pictures.

This is the knife after I took it apart, cleaned it up and put new handles on it. The handles are Amber Shetland bone.
These are the after pictures. I had no shield to install because the original knife didn't have a shield. I thought about putting a different shield on, but couldn't decide which looked the best.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Great job! I love the Amber dyed bone, it is a great color. When I look at it, I believe that it will mellow out just perfectly after a couple of years use. I have not bought any if the Shetland pattern before, but it may go on my list soon. It has a beautiful look!
