I do have two more coming to me in the mail, including the one pictured below.

I just bought this one. It was one of a lot of four knives.
Can't wait to clean it up! The pictures are the seller's.

Great idea for a topic Skip - the head thread, lol. I have a PM from you that only says message deleted by author. There's a lot to be jealous of here. Knife7knut - that 685BH is one I'm surely needing for my collection and Skip that deer head camper is one I haven't seen yet. You've shown most of my heads already but there's a few more I can scare up.
Here's an Imperial Field & Stream set from the 1950s that included the H-50 fixed blade deer head.

I just now purchased this knife. My first "steer head." I'll repost MY pictures when I receive it and give it a gentle cleaning. It "should" clean up nice. These pictures are the seller's.

A deer scene ltd blade by Schrade. I'm not sure if I've ever seen this on a production knife. This one was dressed to the nines by Herman Williams.

Sorry about that Jason. I was just giving you a heads-up about starting this topic. I hope you don't mind my hijacking your pictures and text. I gave you full credit of course. So far, it seems to be going over well. Just bought another one, my first "steer head" (the post above your latest one). Your deer scene blade from Schrade knife is a gorgeous piece of cutlery! Herman Williams is a name that I am familiar with. I've been searching for one of his custom Schrade pattern #863 knives. No luck so far, but I don't give up easily. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your fantastic collection of "heads." Take care, Skip.

A couple more Baer heads. I saw your comment earlier Cal about the inside joke on that. I did read somewhere that it was an inside joke for the folks up in Walden too when they decided to make them.

Here are a bunch of 3.25" serpentine heads that showcase how much variation there was in this pattern. There are a mix of original style clips and turkish clips (changeover around 1960) and in this pic there are Ulsters, Imperials, Kingstons and Keen Kutters but regardless of what the tang says they are all Ulster 50 or Ulster 55 knives.

No wonder these knives are difficult to find, you have most of them. At least the four that I've managed to obtain are "unique." VERY nice "herd" of knives, Jason.

This next knife is one you won't see anywhere else. This is a shell handled Imperial Ranchero with a fish tang stamp (and yes, I now consider a fish as part of the herd.) The Ranchero was a sample pattern for Imperial's Hecho en Mexico knives and I don't believe they were ever sold. I've got three of them because I'm crazy enough about these knives that I actually bought the factory collection from the sample room

. The other two have standard tangs stamps (standard for sample room Mexican Imperials, that is) but for some reason this guy got nothing but a fish. No idea why. Here's the only pic you'll ever see of a fishy Ranchero:

So it's safe to assume that I will NEVER find a Imperial Ranchero with a fish tang stamp. I can live with that as my main area of collecting is Camillus and Camillus pattern 72 clones/variations. These "head" knives are a nice change of pace and the fact that they aren't that common, doesn't distract me from my pursuit of Camillus knives. But still.......Imperial Ranchero.......fish tang stamp. We'll see......

It doesn't actually specify "ANIMAL" flesh, but I'll give it to you. This may be the beginning of the end, but it was close enough.

I'm not exactly sure which one you are referring to,but I assume it is the Craftsman.

#1 & 2:A couple of Imperial fish knives with fish shields.One has a folding can opener on the spine.
#3 & 4: A Remington "Moby Dick" kitchen knife with a blade shaped and etched like a whale.
#5 & 6: An unmarked lobster fork with requisite lobster stamp.
#7 & 8: A Phillippine barong with a handle carved in the shape of a dog's head.
# 9:An Indian knife & fork carving set in the shape of a fish.
#10:A Sport-Pal fishing tool(it has a knife edge just in back of the cap lifter).

#4 & 5: fish knives;one has a fish logo stamped into it.
#6:A Schrade scrimshaw.
#7:A couple of knives with unique sheaths, The folder is German and the fixed blade is Swedish.
