I certainly think that they count. However, opinion is divided as to whether you get to use the corkscrew if your hunt is unsuccessful.

Picked this one up from our own 'Sweetwater knives' (Ray) and it is sweet. Love how the sheath closes. Even had the original sales receipt in the box.
Ray is always a great guy to deal with.

Bookmarked means that if the two handles were laid side by side the grain would be mirror imaged. I think.

To me those are all small hunting knives. For rabbits and squirrels. A bird and trout knife in my eyes is a Marbles with the metal handle and loop.
Thanks for opening my eyes to the broader definition of the bird and trout pattern.

If you had a solid piece of wood and cut in half , then put it on a knife side by side they would be "bookmarked". The grain would show up as before it was cut, just the full tang separating the two pieces. Terry

Just got this peach off Ebay, paid more than I should have, but I wanted it !! It is 7 1/8 long, has red leather stacked handle. Also I hope there is some history available about it. Best I can find is that Sears changed their tang stamp to J C Higgins in 1948. Also German made knives were not imported until after !945 or so.
However I have seen this "SEARS ROEBUCK Co tang stamp (without Germany) in the Sears catalog published in 1902.
Curious to know who made it for Sears and a time period it was sold. BF had a posting around the same question but I could not find any conclusion.
