Wiseguy - Glad you jumped in with those automatics ... I didn't even think about those but no doubt should be included and are great to see as yet another Pen Knife

Greg - Nothing like Empire quality and their Pen Knives are no exception - those 4 different patterns are NICE

Here's a few more from me and more to come down the road.... One thing I find is that certain Pen Knives are sometimes hard to describe as either a Equal-End or Oval/Cigar pattern - many are clear cut as to their pattern - but many no doubt seem to almost fit both pattern names - in the end most manufacturers named the knives as they saw fit so I don't believe the nomenclature is in stone...

Challenge Cut Co - Equal-End - Tip Bolsters with Jigged Bone (3") - Sometimes called a Senator & by others a Regular Pen or a Slim Pen

Challenge Cut Co - Jigged Bone (2 & 3/8") - No doubt one small pen at that size and to my eye an Oval/Cigar pattern...

Some have nail files, with bail, without, advertisement, pyremite, gold, stainless, perl. There doesn't seem to be an end to the different varieties these little guys came in. All these are Remington

Hey Phil - Hard not to get swayed by the knives posted to date in this thread - just put Pen Knives on your list for future possibilities ... As they say "we can'y buy them all" though we wish we could

I have a couple hundred pen knives(mostly pearls)so I will try and post a few that aren't all that common. BTW my definition of a pen knife is one that is at or under 3 inches in length closed. Anything over that I consider a jack. A couple might be just SLIGHTLY over the 3 inch self imposed limit.

#2 Argyle Cutlery Co interframe pen with faux tortoise shell inserts.
#3 Asbro Germany. I guess this is a smoker's knife(too small to be a rigging knife).What is unusual is the blades lock by first opening them and then sliding them slightly back into the handle.
#4 Aaron Burkinshaw tuxedo.Sadly the secondary blade is broken;otherwise the knife is near mint.
#5 A 3 line Camillus coffin handle with fancy celluloid handles.
#6 Capital Cutlery Germany with sterling silver covers.
#7 Cattaraugus 20673 with pearl handles.
#8 & 9 Canton Cutlery Co. ad knife(both sides)
#10 A sterling silver fruit knife with blades at opposite ends;an unusual configuration for them.

Great topic Lee. I've got just a few and mine are all modern.

Parker National Blade Pen knife. I believe this is from the early 1980's. A.G. Russell Gentleman's Pen knife. Current production. This is a sweet little knife. (click to invert) Buck 705 from 1992. And a Case 6279. I forget the year on this one. Sometime in the 1970's.
