Thanks for the welcomes. The three that have the glossiest handles which include two showing rust are sequestered.

The Eye witness handle has some nearly translucent areas to it, does that saw celluloid instead of bone/horn or can you have see through areas in a horn scale?

Yes Wackyd the eyewitness is definitely celluloid.

Celluloid is sequestered.

Any chance of similar issues with any fake stag, assuming not all the stag (if any) is real, or is it usually a stable synthetic or natural alternate?

So much to learn!

My knife collection as a kid was steel, reinforced plastic or Lucite handles and each was younger than me at the time. This is a whole new world!

By the way, I did post some fixed blades over here: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... start=1380

Thanks for showing your collection Daniel. The Wostenholm camping knife has black synthetic stag scales but this is a stable material and not prone to break-down like celluloid. I have several with this material and not experienced any issues. I thought the first (Eyewitness) knife has horn scales but it's hard to tell for sure from photos. Better safe than sorry.
