Thanks again guys for all the prayers and the well wishes!
I did get home last night and was able to do a few things around the house today although I am pretty tired. The whole experience of being in the hospital is very draining (no pun intended) and the super potent painkillers they gave me, give me a hangover for a couple of days but it’s good to be home with my wife and the dogs.

Late to this thread but glad you made it home before Christmas, Dale.

Then he gets home and his wife gives him a bad cold with fever, sore throat, loss of voice, headache. You know. A BAD cold. Poor ole Dale just can't catch a break. Try my Grandpa's remedy Dale.

Now that malingerer has come down with the flu. I received a text from him on Monday afternoon telling me his wife had passed it on to him. Fever, sore throat, laryngitis and headache. Yesterday afternoon I texted him to see how he's doing and he said if Monday was 1 of 10, Thursday is 3 of 10. The boy just can't catch a break.

With all his surgeries and other medical forays.....it
must be the "Marine" in him that keeps him going !!!

On a scale of 1 to 10, I think I have made 3.5 this afternoon but was at 3 all morning.

Y'all be careful, this flu is nothing to mess with this year, it is nasty!
My wife has had it for a week as of today and she is still not over it.
We both got flu shots. My doctor said it would have been a lot worse if we had not gotten the shots.
I find that a little hard to comprehend, unless was speaking of death, because I feel 3/4 dead as it is!

Thanks for all your prayers and support, we are slowly improving, its just a long slow process.

Dale - sorry to read about the flu. Hope you are feeling better by bedtime. Regarding what your doctor said about it being worse if you had not had the shot: I cannot imagine a health professional ever saying that a shot does not help!
