This knife collecting is getting more like learning about people that makes the country grate. Real meat and potatoes type of good old boys.

One more Grate Eastern I picked up at the factory.
She was the last one like this.
So I just made it to the factory in time ....THANK GOD.....
Called a 23 Pioneer Ivory Casien.

I think the squirrels in the co. like them nuts .... ...

I do too....

I was told that she is like mother of pearl.
By that if you drop her on a hard floor she might shatter like pearl does.

Those are some absolute beauties! Especially the casein. I was so hoping to make it to the open house , but of course I couldn't get out of work as usual. Now after seeing those knives I'm really depressed!Sounds like you had an incredible time out there.

I need some one with more smarts than I have ...

I have both 2007 show knives.
I think they are both barlow's.
I took them both out to Ren-Wax them and now I don't know which box to place them in.
Is the 2 blade barlow a 41269 ?
And the one blade a 22269 ?

That is the second rarest GEC knife with only 10 made! There are 4 or 5 Chocolate Bone knives without serial numbers. Those 2 knives are heading my way as we speak.

those are some great s&m jack knives ken. most s&m knives have the model numbers on the back of the blade. try clarences site and maybe you can id them. if not send boxes and knives to me and i'll research them for you.

NO numbers on the blades. I feel like a dork for asking ...
I will just put them in the boxes and if they are not right then they will just be WRONG ...

Hukk did I get that right ???? only 10 of these Casien's were made ??

EDIT "I checked that site and the closest I found was the 142269.
So I think this one with 2 blades is 41296. So that's the box she goes in.

I have burned up my smarts long ago...

So, I'm going with logic, (a poor excuse, I know ), and that would lead me to believe that the first number is handle material...and the second number is the number of blades. Of course, I have no proof at all.

Where'd you find those knives?? You must have someone in deep cover I still haven't found a chocolate, let alone a casein.

You have that right, and every GEC collector is looking for one. I am supposed to have one in the mail with the RARE Chocolate Bone without a serial number. Only 4 or 5 of the Chocolate Bone were made without serial numbers. What happened was that each series was to go to 250 knives counting all the handle materials. These 250 got serial numbers and anything after 250 was to be un-numbered. They got to 250 with Chocolate Bone, then made some without serial numbers, but only a handful, making those the rarest knives. I should have them soon, they are in the mail.

Yep, though a great deal of luck, I did manage to get the entire 2006 set of production knives. I also have a couple of acrylics with the rear bolster coming. They have special serial numbers with OH..

Please don't tell me you stumbled into these and didn't know. Every GEC collector I know has been talking about these for weeks, if not months.

... NOPE I did not know but membered that they were for sale only if you came to the factory. It was in a post here at AAPK. So I picked it up. She was the LAST one for sale.

The only disappointing part of the trip to Queens Show is that I did NOT get to meet YOU...
I am sure if you showed up I would be in the poor house...
Not even have a enough money for gas to get home...
But I did have my heart on meeting you there.

You missed a REAL GOOD TIME. I hope what you did do was fun...

What I did do was not as much fun as going to the show, Ken.
I saved a lot of money, though!
Which I will probably spend on knives anyway. We'll meet some day, I am sure.
Keep those keystone shields polished!

There were 11 Casien made and all sold the first day of open house. I have heard that at least 1 local guy may sell his, his brother may too, and I know of 1 that sold on E-bay for $450.00.

I might add that was a BUY IT NOW price and the knife was only there a few hours. Was there when I went to bed, gone when I got up in the morning.

A knife that sold for $450.00 in about a 2 weeks and I paid $120.00.

This is hard for me to believe. Makes me think what will she go for in about 10 years down the road. Or is she just hot now ??

Sorry for being a dumb knife collector and being in the right place at the right time. This is a first for me....

Actually the knife was listed the weekend of the show and was sold in a BUY IT NOW for $450.00. Most people have no idea the knife was ever listed because the auction lasted only a few hours.
