All About Pocket Knives

Just acquired this gunstock lockback (it's Josh's fault - he's an enabler, made me do it! ). Perfect size, came with a leather strap attached to the bail. Think I just found my new back pocket EDC. Not sure but the master may be just a tad short? If so its been nicely re-shaped.

Very nice!!

Thanks Justin. I cleaned it up a little, put a good edge on it (really hard steel), and dropped it into my back pocket. Been carrying it just 3 days now but have to say so far it's perfect!

I got this one today,very nice well built knife.this is the first one I have had.i had to fix a little blade wobble,with a little know how from Mr.Premier himself.... Junebug,thanks man.hope you all like it.

He has it figured out for sure,I will let him tell you.i tried it on another case knife of mine,same result.......no more wobble.

Don't know JuneBug's technique, but here's one that works. Free of charge.

Oil the blade joints.

Clamp the bolsters between two soft pieces of wood in a bench vise.

Tighten and check, tighten and check, in small steps until you are pleased with the results, i.e. no blade wobble, but still relatively easy to open and close.

You will notice the blade pin is now a bit "proud" of the bolster, i.e. it sticks out.

Sand it down flush with the bolsters again and polish the bolsters back to a shine with a rag wheel and Semi-Chrome or Flitz metal polish.

This technique is not valid if you are a purist collector of vintage knives, but it will correct a blade wobble problem.

awesome!!!!!!.....hope ya like it!.....

with blade open.......... brass hammer..............solid anvil type base....
tap pivot pin 2-3 times and flip.......repeat with HARD taps 2-3 each side till
pin tightens bolsters in a tad to take slack out ,and no more wiggle.
GO SLOW....2-3 TAPS A SIDE!.....after a tap errr 2, you will see pin in bolster(sometimes hard to see)
make sure bottom side against anvil = pin resting on anvil.

go slow,,,,keep flippin........easy cheesy,bro
keep checkin blade by open and closeing and checkin wobble as ya go.

if any marks on bolster after = 0000 steel wool then a lil mothers metal polish..........done

1 is full length.....most tipped......group photo looking down = not so good,as you cannot see outside ones,in well.......

Lyle- 7 but one is in my sons collection since he moved feb 1st.... so technically 6 NOW

FAR RIGHT = orig shield , but made in JAPAN on contract......all others are GERMANY
the one without a shield = one i rehandled in jigged bone scales,i left shield off,as it was my 1st re handle job and was SKERD ta inlet the bone
