Jerry, I don't care much for Leeks, but that Vietnam Leek is awesome.

Not to hi-jack the thread and get off topic...but Jerry's old photos caused me to wax nostalgic. So, here's some photos of some old photos of some of my favorite old rides.
Clockwise from top left: A customized Moto Guzzi, my Yamaha 650 OHC in the garage between my 1973 Triumph GT-6 and my brother's 1967 Camero, some friends meeting before a toys-for-tots charity run, Me sitting on my 1979 Yamaha 650 OHC when I was in high school and still thought I was cool for riding a motorcycle to school Ah...the good old days.

Josh, I out grew those jeans and my ex-sister-in-law took them, cut the legs off and wore them as shorts for several more years.

Well, Jerry...you obviously had/have some very cool friends. Now...did they have the extended forks on their Yamahas like mine did? Hmmm? Believe it or not, I bought that Yamaha 650 OHC with custom extended front forks for only $500, and it had less than 1000 miles on the odometer. Ironically, the guy I bought it from had crushed his leg against a highway safety guard rail while trying to avoid a potentially more serious accident. He was still recuperating in the hospital when I bought it...from his mother!

No, they were stock, out of the box units.

I traded the Honda Sabre 700 for some cash and a Honda 400 Four. There's a story that goes with the 400F.

Time for a knife break with the Desert Sand Leek.
Went without until 2003 when I decided to buy a new Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic. My pictures destroyed in the flood of 2006 but this from Google is very similar.
The Leek with Olive handles.
One more bike and two more Leeks to go.

Either the Chill or frame lock Leek in the pocket every day (Spyderco Endura 4 on the nightstand and Gerber 400 in the utility cupboard).

I carry this Skyline a lot and is one of my all time favorite Edcs. It was the first Kershaw I bought in the 14c28n steel.Been carrying one since Kershaw first offered it for sale. This steel has proven it's self very,very worthy in toughness,stain resistance and edge holding properties to me. Threw the toughest and hardest test I know of that being,work time.
Also it covers a niche area for me in discreet carry as a well made back up to my Sp101. No one ever even looks at it twice as something like a weapon. Plus it's a lot of fun just flipping it open.

About a year ago, I promised another bike and two more Leeks. I see, my forgetter has been working well.

This is the last bike I had. An '03 Honda VTX 1300 I got to replace the Yamaha V-Star 1100 that the second flood destroyed. Last summer, I bought this Teal Leek for my granddaughter. And (I think) Christmas of '13 or '14 I bought this Leek for her brother. It was the same Christmas I bought this Leek for my daughter's (then) husband. This is the very first Leek I bought. And this is the second Leek I bought. Y'all know I love my orange knives. There's something about the Needs Work that lights up my eyes. And who can resist a handful of Scallions?
There are some more Kershaws but I don't want to burn y'all out.

Got a sweet deal on this blackwash Oso Sweet, so it's getting some pocket time. Flipper fires so hard 'bout jumps outta my hand...gotta hang on tight. But, barely any pressure required for cutting, that Kershaw edge cuts like a dream.

Well.. YES there is.. The Mail person just dropped of a Blackwash Leek.. And I used an Od Leek to open the box!!! I like thisun real well.. And into the rrp it went... John

I have several Kershaw knives in my EDC pile. I've been toting a Needs Work for the past few weeks. It is one tough knife and I use it a lot. It ain't pretty but it gets the job done.

This has got to be a record for me.. Since July 7th I have had a Leek in the rrp.. First the od green then when the Blackwash arrived (7/25) thisun!! Just like them I guess!! John
