You started it with all this fresh garden stuff.
Next you'll be telling me BLTs are off limits.

Oh Jerry, my friend....BLT's will never be off limits in my world! One of the best sandwiches ever. I like mine with thick cut whole wheat or whole grain toast, an edge to edge smear of Hellman's, lots of black pepper and kosher salt and a couple healthy shots of Tobasco...and of course freshly crisped meaty applewood smoked bacon and "off the vine ten minutes ago garden tomatoes".....maybe even just a thin slice of red onion too.....oh man now I AM salivating!
And..oh wait...this is Wisconsin, so I'll add a slice of Wisconsin Cheddar to my imaginary sandwich as well!
C'mon 'maters.....ripen doggone it!!

The punch line from my favorite jokes, "Look! There goes a chicken".

Since I don't work in one of those fancy schmancy kitchens and don't live in Cheddar land. My BLTs are toast, fried bacon, thick slice of fresh tomato, couple of iceberg lettuce leaves and plenty of Miracle Whip.
Holy cow! It's almost 1300. No wonder my stomach's feeling funny. Time for lunch.

I guess me and Josh are the only ones doing any harvesting this summer?
Oh well, going to try to keep it alive here....The good earth yielded up these fine crops today, with the assistance of my Mini Grip of course!
First three red tomatoes of the year for me...yes they are tiny little cherry toms, but it's a start!

Nice looking Harvester Tank!
Love those grey scales, very understated, but cool and classy...That small hawkbill blade is a great option on that knife, would be a perfect beansnipper!

Thanks Mike, what the pruner wouldn't get the saw would. Heh. I like the gray too. It's the sleekest they've done in awhile.

Welllllllll ok then.
Guess nobody wants to show and tell...

....I suppose I'll just let this thread die on it's own then. For some reason I thought there were some folks here that might want to show off some fresh veg but I guess not!
I'll just gather up my produce and go home then.

Took this pic before heading into work this morning. A few cucumbers, zucchini, gourds that my wife likes to decorate with, squash, and tomatoes, and my old IXL. Was my dad's before it was mine and was someone else's before his. Used but not abused. Still snaps hard open and shut on both blades. Has logged a lot of miles in the pockets of its owners I am sure.

Hey alright! Nice harvest there bkazz5...I like those big ol' gnarly looking tomatoes, they seem to pack alot of flavor! And that's a great lookin' old barlow there too, man that pen blade is a sliver! Very cool that you are continuing the history of an old family heirloom and attaching new memories to it, gotta keep on keepin' on!
