Please be assured that this is the original building from which a very well known eastern knife company first used as there original manufacturing plant. This is not a trick nor is there any deception in the question. I would not do that it is a straight forward honest question . LT PS still no winners.

Jonnny Rotten is a Winner. I will post the entire story and more pics tomorrow ( since I have to scan it. ) Please send your address and i will send you your hat ( when I dig out. ) OK first of all someone mentioned that perhapes the Schrade items were throwing people off, well the entire name of Schrade at the end was Imperial Schrade ( this is what I meant by misinterpreting some clues). Also the pic is from 1916 which is why the Napanoch guess was a good one since it would have basicly been a similar structure with similar photography, Granted It was a rare pic and a tough question also when I did the Camillus story on the Camillus thread I mentioned the Levine book it came from. this story is also in this book. In any event we have a winner. Thankyou to all and tomorrow I hope you enjoy the entire story. I do not know if any of you remember that I have the original grinding wheel that Felix Miranda used during this period. so the chances are it was in this building when this pic was taken. I will get more into it tomorrow . If I make it digging out. Once again Congrats and thankyou all I enjoyed seeing the participation. There aint many of us but damn we are good. LT

Alrighty then I dug out 4 hours now here is the entire Imperial story which also verifys the authenticity of the picture in the contest. I also included two pics of my porch ornament which is the original Grindstone used by Micheal Mirando. Which as i said could very well have been in this building when the pic was taken. The story of how I got the stone is already in one of these threads after the Prov RI plant closed Schrade brought it and the rest of the stuff from the RI plant to Ellenville I have a lot of it including Mirandos original work counter with drawers. What a nightmare that was to get home. In any event the Grindstone was on display in the lobby of Schrade until I er rescued it. That as I said is a story unto itself. I am thinking that if the museum does not go through perhapes I will have it used as a headstone for my final resting place. Getting home with it was almost as tough as the time I swam the English Channel , with an anvil on my chest with a broken arm I swam and drank beer with the other arm. OK that is a bit much but it is St Paddys day and that is a great Victor McLaglan quote. My email is [email protected] so Mr Rotten please send your address so I can send your prize. I am also including an Imperial Schrade keyring which I did not post originally since it would have been to big a hint. Enjoy the holiday and remember the old Irish saying Erin Go Braless. LT

Way cool Lt and good going JohnnieRotten. LT's contests have always been fun. I obtained one of the hats years ago. I got a Schrade money clip when we did the bfc forum knife and I use it much. It holds my 'knife buy' money, a couple of hundreds and a few fifties, when I go to a show, or knife shopping somewhere, or when someone brings me a knife to purchase. Never underestimate the power of cold hard cash when knife dealing.

LT, hope you are surviving the blizzard. If the steaks and lobster does not hold out, I understand cats taste like chicken.

Until the last clue I was sure it was LT's garage before he replaced the door.
Ulster started in a old foundry building so I know thats not it.
Im' gonna guess NYK. It kinda looks like the old building did in the last postcard picture we posted..
