All About Pocket Knives

Here's a Colonial jack I picked up at a sale last weekend. It was really in rough shape. The old boy who had owned it used it to spread Blackjack, roofing patch. The blades were all tarred up. I used Goof-off, a synthetic brillo pad, and a razor scraper. It cleaned up surprisingly well. Blades appear to never have been sharpened. Well worth the $1.00 I invested in it ! Bull

pg, they didn't have any filework whatsoever. i have a very nice fileworked colonial, so i was tinking that they were of the design. but they weren't, so i emailed the seller about my disappointment and she reimbursed me 40%. there is no way i can complain about that

That # 701 N.S. bolster fruit knife goes back a ways Scott. Hold on to that sucker!

In a few years that baby will really be worth something..I'm going to say late 60's and worth about $ 25.00, mint! Not bad for an old shell Colonial!

HAPPY B-DAY BOBBY!! I remember 54 Oh well like ya said it's the miles! And that shell jack came with a group of all metal knives of various manufacture, the tang says colonial prov.u.s.a. Just a little pitting on the main blade and still has fair snap.

Here is a working man's Colonial, I keep it with my electrician tools; some of the Klein's I have owned and used since high school (circa 1972 on a few of them). The Colonial knife is newer (but not decades newer), it's a replacement for a long lost Klein electricians knife. OH

First of all, thank you guys for all the b-day wishes; had a wicked nice day!!
Next is quicksteel, nice Andvils!! I personally always LOVED those handle designs. That cool little Andvil shield was great. I just wish they didn't cheapen it before blanking because with solid N.S. bolsters and solid brass liners, it would have been an incredible seller!! That white handled, two blade jack is nice too! I wish I could remember the cat. #,
but some stuff made before I was born is hard to get info on!! This one's late 60's and even being born in 1958, I don't remember it's production!
Finally welcome aboard Mr. tangstamp! (why didn't I think of that). You are now amongst a bunch of misfit, pocket knife lunatics, and I wouldn't trade the world for any of them!! I am relatively new to the site myself but have been welcomed with open arms!! They just love me for my company!! hahahaha...Don't you believe it guys, your the greatest.

Hey old hunter, got yourself a nice # 2902, 2-blade, screw driver/wire stripper and one nice pocket blade!! You could beat the crap out of these and they'd still performed!!!
We sold MILLIONS of them..Black, brown and florecent orange handles!!

Here's a Colonial Truck knife. I know they made thousands of these with various customer Ads in them.

Here's one you may not remember. I don't see many of them out there. This is my Real McCoy carbon steel stockman with jigged delrin scales. Comes with cedar box, genuine washita Arkansas stone and sharpening guide. A really nice set. The knife is built on the Colonial Ranger frame. Got any stories about these, Bobby? This was a great set. I've owned it since the mid 90s. Bought it for the gun and knife shows when I was a vendor. Sold a few of these for some good money.
