So, here are the 33 and 033 frames I have been threatening to post. No match for Bob's collection/display but some interesting ones nonetheless. Too lazy today to post individually.

Left to right, top to bottom...

Left side...
1970' 10 dot 8233. can't get a good pic of the pearl but a 8233.
1993' 6233 that is rehandled in Jade. Dad picked her up on a trip to Alaska.
XX 9233 in Imitation Pearl.
1979' Brown Appalossa "A62033".
1977 Blue Scroll 5233

Right Side...
1978' Delrin 62033.
1993' 6233.
1970 10 dot 6233.
1995' 8233 SC SS.
1995' 8233 SS.

One more 33 that is the cream of my crop. CASE TESTED 8233 Long Pull. Due to her age, she felt she deserved her own pictures. She thinks the pics make her look fat and don't show off the real beauty on her TESTED era pearl. I agree on the latter point.

Regards, Jerry

By the way OH, I meant to respond to your 98' Copperhead you posted and got distracted. Sorry.

I think they call that Navy Blue bone. Could be wrong. I posted a peanut in the same year series in the mighty Peanut thread in the GKD forum.

Nice little knife my friend. Jerry

Love the 33 pattern and you guys have some sweet ones. I've got a '65-'69 33 with red bone handles and both blades share a single backspring, making the knife very thin. I've also got an early 2000's Delrin 33, but it has two backsprings, one for each blade. Anybody know when or why the backspring configuration was changed? The newer knife is much thicker and doesn't carry like the old one. Just curious.

Here's a 92033 from the 80's with "new grind" blades and a 6208 with Apaloosa bone scales. Check them out ::tu::

Here's a 5308 W.H.SS with Prime stag scales. It was a Case Collectors Club seasonal special which makes it a pretty rare knife. I was one of a select group that had their name drawn for the right to buy one of these.

Wazu, nice knives - that Prime Stag is eye-popping gorgeous - you were fortunate to have your name drawn for the right to buy that knife! OH

Hello All,

Nice knives Wazu! We need to keep this great thread going. Would love to see more CASE pens posted. Here is a CASE XX Green Bone 62063-1/2 Sleeve Board. 3-1/16" closed.

This knife looks to be early XX era based on the bone color and the "closed C" shield. Pretty knife that has seen some honest use as the mainblade is a bit worn.

Regards, Jerry

WoW! Real knice batch of pens posted so far Gents
even if some are jacks, stockmans and whittlers.
Case had a 6247pen which is 3 7/8" so that's one exception to the size rule.

Got a few I can throw into the mix.

My 1st Case knife! I picked this little bugger up at an antique store today. It is marked Case XX, and has what I believe is 8233 on the opposite side of the main blade. I have no idea about how old it is

Enjoy!

John

Hello Folks,

I opened one of my Pen Knife drawers and temporarily tripped out on a knife that appeared to have gassing signs on it. Turned out not to be and only some some grime that came off with Blue Magic. So of course I checked and cleaned all in the drawer.

Crappy pic but it gets this thread revived. Some oldies in there. Pattern 27, 33, 42, 01, etc.

Jerry

I love those new grind tangs, probably too costly to keep up.
All Case current production penknives have clip point blades now and I started to miss the good old spear points, even better with a swedge. The 6279 certainly fits the bill, and I was wondering if clip points are taking over and what other Case spear point pens there are. This is obviously the thread for them. ::tu::

Bringing up this old thread to show off a new little Case 9233 pen.
It has never been sharpened, just hung out in a bad environment for years.
Celluloid covers.

Looks good as it is! Hopefully it shows no evidence of outgassing.

Nice little pen, Joe. Now I know why my mother always told me to stay out of bad environments!

Here’s my favorite pen knife pattern - 06267.

And a rare one - 6265 (the original, before they changed the pattern to the folding hunter we think of today).
