I've sent my response to Case. I hate to say it but I do not think it will make a difference but its makes me feel good that someone may read my email. No it wasn't pretty but to the point.

Once the announcement is made, I don't think that there's any way to stop the train. My guess is that they've already got inventory and are hot to trot. Wonder if Zippo will go the same way?

All I can tell you is watch aliexpress.com for a while. If it's made in China it will be cloned/copied and sold there!

I have my eye on a Strider clone and a ZT clone to try the patterns.

Perhaps, and I am merely speculating here, the “different manufacturing process” means no OSHA or overtime pay; and the “quality standards” are quite akin to that of the old Japanese method of testing Katanas on condemned prisoners.

Should that be the Case (pun intended), it is clear that the neo-capitalists, in collusion with the vociferous anti-death-penalty advocates, have forced production away from this shore.

i will not be buying any knife made in CHINA i may never buy another case

wont by anything from them until they realize what a mistake this is,plus they are dissing there own employees saying that these knives are of same quality,i live close to factory and know many who work on floor and cant imagine this is going over to well this could be the start of another camillus or imperial schrade we all know how that turned out

Well written Dean. Not being a big Case fan, I buy hardly any of their knives but when I do, there has always been one thing I could count on, Made In USA. No Googling my brains out and searching web sites for country of origin, if it said Case I could depend on it being manufactured right here in the America. Sigh.

Edit: Kershaw makes a quality knife here in the US, of that style, at a decent price. I'm sure they would have loved the business.

i just read the bradford era newspaper which is cases local newspaper and they have a picture of the line on there website , the knives have a frost cutlery look to me bradfordera.com

I wonder if the new line will compete with the $9.99 - $19.99 Meyerco tacticals?

parker forever will be known for the classics,and so many people are still bitter over that deal 20 years later but if history repeats itself tom arrowsmith will be disliked 100 times more than parker,the classics are still taboo talk over at the case collectors forum i wonder if they will let u talk about these over there

the more i have thought about ive decided most people say the new knives were not the same caliber as the old ones and only bought the vintage knives anyway...just a shame though something i myself from a boy have associated with being American made tried and true has fell into the that chinese category...i told a dealer at the flea market today and he looked at me like move along you have no idea what your talking about..

ive owned this knife for awhile now..just a cheap made but durable knife no backspring liner lock so they were makin them here to start with

i would suggest everyone one to go to cases w.r.case and sons facebook page,and blast them there as very many are allready,many many comments none favorable to case for this decision,they keep locking threads on the collectors forum but there has been several employees on facebook trying to give answers and there thoughts on this it wont be long b4 they probably shutdown that also at least try and b heard collectors were able to stop production of the new grind blades after a short time b4 the internet so there is hope

I've been hitting Case with everything I have. I told my family and friends to send them their opinion. I think Case will press on in the face of all the feedback they are getting. I really believe the company is in trouble because in the past they took a strong stance against some of their suppliers because they went offshore. The ERTL truck line was dropped by Case with a letter from the president giving his views about import products. This has to be a desperate move to keep part or all of the company alive. I'm sure this program will stall and then we will see what's going on. I hope Case can keep their Bradford made in USA plant going but we have all seen this happen many times before. When you start turning your back on some of your business it steamrolls.

orvet i go to case website and hit the face book link at top of page i think theyve done something so u cant just type it in through facebooks search
