All About Pocket Knives

I want to thank everyone for their responces here. I really appreciate the input.
I hope this exposure of these knives will enlighten other readers of this thread.
I invited the seller of my knife to visit AAPK and this thread. I hope he can take away some useable
information from this thread if he has vistited here. I hold nothing against him at all.

I admire Dimitries considerable knife knowledge as well as the others who posted here so..........

Yes, she is It is an attractive knife, I am curious as to how well it will hold an edge

I think I can get a feel for the blade by feeling how it responds to sharpening.

That teardrop doesn't appear to be a reproduction, maybe a Schrade Cut. Co. contract, but not a reproduction.

We sure have the luxury of knowledgable and willing members here at AAPK who bring forth their experience to help all of us who want to be more fully involved in pocket knives and such.

TJ & JOE Thanks! and thanks to all the other knowledgable people who share there knowledge on a daily basis . i learned one important thing buy less knives and more books

Here is an authentic Paxton stamp, Paul.
I will post a pic of the old relic soon.

I'm going to take it a step farther and "neutralize" the rust and patina,
then polish it back to "shinny" for comparison to the details on yours.

I have it soaking in neutralizer as of now... it takes about 2 hours to do it's job.

Gringo, this is what I've been using for years in a different hobby
of mine (I restore vintage lawnmowers ).

I hadn't, until recently, thought of using it on knives!
man, it works wonders!! I got it at Lowe's.
Look for a post soon on a CLEARCUT Barlow project, where I used this stuff
and took pics along the way!

Guys, I'm sort of out of pocket this week. I'm in Chicago trying to get edumacated as to cardiac valve surgery. I won't be home until Sunday evening.

I have one of these cogress jacks that looks a lot like FRJ's. I bought it several years ago on Ebay. Don't recall who I bought it from, might have been Obadya, who knows?

Mine is stamped with an old Belknap Pine Knot stamp, Jno. PRICE with the woodpecker hanging onto the side of a tree. I'd show you the knife and the tang stamp, but like I said, I'm not at home. This is a hotel computer.

The knife is well made and beautiful, like FRJ's. I had it on my Robeson website, as Robeson reportedly made Pine Knot knives for Belknap and the bone on the knife looks a lot like Robeson bone.

When we had the discussion about these knives a while back, I pulled its photo off my website.

Pity. It's a good looking knife.

But, hey. Don't feel bad FRJ, I paid over twice as much for mine.

Should you be playing guitar with that?

I don't use the mitral valve to play guitar, just use a standard shaped guitar pick.

Actually what I have is a mitral valve prolapse that is controlled by a beta blocker. Depending on who you talk to, it can be very serious or not very serious at all. I pick the last opinion.

My wife has suffered with that for years tj. she has flare ups (usually when under stress) and it really messes with her for a day or 2, then she gets better. I hope niether of you get so bad you have to have it replaced. Kelley

Hey Kelly, I've been taking 40mg/day of Nadalol (generic for Corgard) and it controls it really well.
