Thanks fellas.

Frustrated because I couldn't find a PB or Stag that I liked initially I ordered the Buffalo Horn. Have since located a couple, not in hand yet.

Don't get me wrong I love BH but I prefer the Northfield line. Needless to say I was VERY impressed with it and HIGHLY recommend picking one up,just a beautiful lil pocket knife with outstanding horn, jet black with just the slightest of gray linear striations/inclusions that run the length of the scales and are picked up only in daylight. Well done GEC ::tu:: ::tu::

Nice looking buffalo Earl...if I didn't have a cocobolo that would be my choice.
I should thank Barry and Jerry for their input on the wharncliff blade...it is handy... ::tu::
The knife is a little bigger than I thought, the swell end does allow for a decent grip.
While it won't replace my 72 and 73's it make's a good backup...heck who around here carry's just one knife...

Thanks Bob. I agree with your assessment, I was concerned it would be to small for my hands, feels good though......

These geppetos are looking great. I've held back thus far, sort of hoping for a special run or uncataloged handle material.

Could someone compare the wharncliffe of this to that used on the 25 barlow? Pics would be appreciated. TIA

Here's a comparison of the 26, the 57, and the 56. The wharncliffe on the 25 is narrower than on the 26.

As far as I'm concerned, he's in the knife storage business at those prices.
A $255 knife and you only get to see one side of the knife?
I don't think so.

I have bought 1 or 2 at KSF, but between them being too busy to answer an e-mail and
'way too busy' to send pile side pics, I will leave this distributor as a LAST resort for now.
Hopefully they will find the time to provide the excellent service we have all come to expect
from GEC's small network of distributors. As it stands right now, GEC may want to look at
this particular sellers prices and service, it just does not seem to fit with the rest of them.
Thats my $.02..........................

Did you get any of the 57's Edge?

Why yes Earl, yes I did ...

Picked up a PrimBone, a Buffalo, and a nice Burnt Stag for "puttin' up", and then picked up another Burnt Stag to EDC ...

You know I'm a sucker for a Whittler, and I do like the 56/57 package and how much blade it delivers for its size. Nice stout Wharncliffe main too. I'm likin' 'em! ::ds::

LOL.........I figured you did bro.,knew you were a big Whittler fan. Which one is your fav,the Burnt Stag? I'm really like'n this Buffalo Horn, so slick, just super pocket friendly. Wish they would have done a NF version in it ::drool::

NF version in Ram's Horn, bark or smooth, would have been killer imho 8)
