here is a beast that bit me last night...dang...that tiny clip blade is damaged...but sharp...
it appears someone was cleaning a battery...incorrectly...at least i hope it was 12 volt.

It looks like someone got a good jolt!
Twelve volts can cause a lot of damage, but I think it was likely more than 12 volts that fried that poor knife!

Maybe just a chip - but could have been voltage that got this one too. After all, it is an electrician's knife. This one looks old enough to have helped win the war.

Northfield top of photo, Empire beneath it. Both are missing their shields. The Northfield is missing a blade, the Empire is missing two of the three blades but the remaining one has great snap to it yet.

That Ed. Wusthof knife is built like a tank. They put some strang material on for the covers. If they had used something durable the knife would have never made this thread.

Here is one that was a beauty in it's day. Alexander Sheffield 1850-1878. 4" 6 blade congress, ivory with pinched bolsters. "Ed" scratched his name and something else I can't read in the ivory.

I posted this one on the old and obscure thread, but it fits in here as well, so I took a new picture. Kings Kwality. The story of this brand is lost in the years, but it looks to have been a decent knife. Somebody got their money's worth out of it.

This Kutmaster barlow is literally bent. I don't know how you do something like this to a knife, but somebody managed. Amazingly, it seems to have withstood it well. Says a lot for the knives of the day.
