I'm always amazed at the quantity and quality of old knives that you boyos over in the UK keep coming up with.

I love seeing them. KEEP 'EM COMING!!

Knives such as those are damn few and FAR between here in Texas.

Its filthy and worn to a nub with the bail missing but the bone scales are nice and it's a Johnson Western Works Sheffield. Two blades, corkscrew and a gimlet.

It was obviously well loved to have been used as much as it was. Great old relic.

I just picked up a Morley same tang stamp but in a half congress,one blade has a long line over NEW YORK like a Camillus the other blade has GERMANY on it.Anybody know what is up with this???Nice bone scales

As stated in trails quote......Your knife was made in Germany and imported by A.Kastor and Bros. firm in NYC.

Forgot I had this one. This mark has been posted before but is supposed to have a lion stamp on the pile side. Mine doesn't. Don't know what that means but it fits this thread so thought I'd post it. I guess it's a sleeveboard with milled liners and fiery pearl which I can't seem to capture with my camera. Slim.

Just picked-up this little gem during my day out yesterday. Sterling scales hallmarked Birmingham 1897. Nice snap and half stops.

This knife has been in my family for near 100 years. My great grand father bought it used around WWI. It is in mint condition with the original leather pouch (worn). the main blade has Carl Lobbenberg etched on it in block letters. He may have been a jeweler in Berlin. It has 23 blades and 2 insertions. The knife looks exactly like one made by Feist in Solingen. It may have been made on contract for Carl Lobbenberg. I would like to sell it to a collector. I am reviving a thread from years back with this 3" 6 blade pearl multiblade marked: "A.Kastor/& Sons/Germany". Very nicely made knife, at least 100 years old, maybe even 120 !

These Richards are all on the useful side!
The oddball one seems to be the eldest, going by the can opener. I don’t know how you’d describe the scales. Over ripe banana?!
I must be celluloid, but it has little shine to it. The blades are weird too. The knife blade seems to be carbon, the can opener and bottle opener/screwdriver are stainless, I think, and the punch or awl almost looks chromed.
Anyway, I thought I’d just post the Richards, for now.

Great knives FRJ. All very interesting. I especially like the horn scaled champagne pattern. What are the scales on the schlemper? That's quite a unique pattern. Cheers!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the knives.

The Schlemper is covered with Mother of Pearl.

It's kind of champagne-y its self in a kind of boardroom sort of way.
