All About Pocket Knives

Any one have an opinion on Lone Wolf knives from experience???

I don't Gino, I don't own one.
But if they are now made by Benchmade...........
It's a good thing!

gino, the action on the Lone Wolfe is smooth and secure. I haven't put it through any "tests" and don't intend to, but so far it is a very valid knife. I am happy with it, but it is amazing what one will pay for an articulating pencil sharpener.

Can anyone tell me where the new Benchmade 40021 TAILOUT folder is made??? It doesnt say on the Benchmade website and I have sent them several emails asking with no response in a week. I saw the knife listed in two differnt stores, knifeworks says USA and the other which I cant remember says imported. does any one know for sure???

I don't know,Gino....that TAILOUT sure has a Japanese look to it for some reason.

I have the first Benchmade but the other two I have sold.....I wish that I hadn't...I really liked the 2nd one,it was a Mel Pardue model.
All 3 are auto's.

585 Mini Barrage with Axis-Assist Lock

Can you guys help me pick out my first Benchmade. To start with I don't know what the axis lock is. I own a Lone Wolf D/A Lobo and a V&K D/A scale release. I love them both. What I would like from Benchmade is something that is first and formost made in U.S.A. and I prefer an auto, scale release is my favorite but I do have a few leverlocks by Hubertus and Beltram and the standard push button made by AKC and an old picklock from EIG cutlery. Plus I have a Buck 110 D/A conversion with a paddle button and spring release. I collect vintage Case knives that I never carry except to show. Right now my EDC is the Vallotton Diskin scale release. It has AUS10 steel and it really does a nice job. My EDC was the Buck 110 D/A conversion that is really well made but it is to heavy in my pocket and the sheath just kept getting in my way. I have really come to like a pocket clip on my EDC. I am hoping you people can put me onto something that I can use for my EDC with a 3" to 4" blade and a hard working handle material and pocket clip. Let me know what you think.

They seem to have the most reasonable prices and fast safe shipping.

This is the only Benchmade that I own. The blade is etched "BENCHMADE/USA/551". It is a carry knife and has about the best locking system of any knife I have or have seen. Once sharp it stays sharp. Sorry for the bad picture. The handles are green.

Well this Tailout that I pre-ordered and paid for last week from Benchmade itself, I found out its made in China ::drag::
When I first saw the knife it was in the Knife works site and it said (and still does) made in USA.
I believe it is Lone Wolves only import for Benchmade. I knew all the other knives they made for them were USA made so I assumed this was too.
Well you know what they say when you assume?

Yeah, I liked it because it was a traditional looking knife and I never saw a Benchmade that looked like it.

Looks cool....make a great EDC.
Reminds me of the older Gerbers and Kershaws.

I might try it as a EDC but I doubt it could take the place of my Case xx copperhead.
