Here's a few I have. All seem to be well made in the USA too! I wanted to add a butterfly knife to my collection and I love the blued finish on the large red stag numbered trapper. The smaller Bear Trap trappers are numbered as well. They have my attention as nice collector's pieces.

The big trapper with the lanyard hole really looks good. I like those stout blades. That's a serious knife.

My Muskrat Jack Rabbit came yesterday. It's a very substantial knife with fairly thick stag handles. It feels good in the hand and the blades have a nice strong snap. Fit and finish are good. The edges of the bolsters and handles could use a tiny bit more of a radius but maybe that's personal opinion. It's a heck of a lot better than the 2010 Boy Scout knife they made for Remington. The stag appears to be European stag instead of India stag but it ain't no thing. How often do you see a new knife these days with India stag handles (especially for the price I got this one for.)

All in all I'm very satisfied and feel I got a quality USA made knife for a good price.

I had a Bear and Sons show up in the mail box today...
Genuine stag mini trapper, etched "Transistion Series"
These are a great bargain, and made in the USA. Whats not to like?

My 2011 catalog came in a couple of weeks ago. It's 40 pages of glossy photographs plus a supplemental brochure for their new Bear-Ops tactical line. They will send you a catalog free of charge if you request one through their website -

My latest Bear, a genuine mother of pearl small stockman, model 833 in the Bear catalog. Under a loupe it looks to be a two dot, meaning it was made in 2008 - but I bought it new from Knife Center for my August new U.S. made knife of the month. I think it's a real beauty.
