I just don't know why ?????? I, didn't get into these ""#56 jacks"" when they came out last year---but I have grown fond of them ,lately ???
The handle is thicker, than the #66 pattern, making it easier to hold onto, and the big clip blade can tackle almost any task,I may have____the small pen,can clean fingernails, with the best of em'

_______guess,I got some catchin' up to do_____

Man, great minds think alike … (and I'm just taggin along with the great minds) … !
Stumbled across this one, and while I wasn't even lookin' for another 56, the handles were just callin' me - looks like a cross between Burnt Stag and Primitive Bone to me, can't wait to get it …

Received a yellow rose #56 EDC today...I had been wanting to order a #56 fer sometime, but the 3.5" closed always deterred me....well, I was pleasantly surprised, as the serpentine (dogleg) pattern feels great in hand. In fact, it really is a small version of a serpentine whittler ... if it was .5" longer and retained the same thickness, added one more blade, they'd have a GREAT Big WHittler! ANywhooo...I'm real glad I bought it, and will definitely slice some wood with her.

Monk that's a very nice set of jack's you have, that dogleg is a slick pattern...
A tad bit small for my hand....but I could get by with one...

No pics yet, but I received an ebony weaver jack single blade yesterday. The wood is super dark & tight grained (better than my earlier ebony GECs) and I love how lightweight it is. I do wish the same knife were available with a single spear blade. [Maybe in the near future? (in case GEC is following) fingers crossed...]

Hello carvin don;
I am going to agree with you on the 1/2" longer.
That would make her a sweet jewel.
And the color is just right too.

This knife has been my every day user now since I have owned it. The master blade is very srong and the pen is great for small work. I like the fact that is has no half stops. I have always been a big fan of stockmans but this one beats all.

Here is my only #56 - I sent it to MM for some work, should be one sweet EDC when
he is done. (asked him to add EO notch and a couple other tweaks).
edited - to add teaser pic of work being done. MM is the man!!

Which one are you looking for? Stag spear blade?

Well, ask and ye shall receive.
Got my dogleg, and then we were interrupted but the interweb gremlins.
This is my 5th GEC, another fine example. The blades are perfectly centered, the fit and finish are top notch. This one has some nice fat bone on it, too.
It was sharp enough to go directly in the pocket, which is where it sits right now.
Already used it to cut open some shotgun shell reloads that the wad went in bad on (to get the powder and shot out), and to open several packages.
It's a nice stout little knife!
Thanks Monk!
