can anyone tell me how old and the value of this knife?

If the handles are imitation Winterbottom bone; 1973 - 1975, base on the tang stamp.

Here is a kitchen set I picked up cheap...........

Yes sir it is... Nicely worn, I love the feel of pocketworn bone. Here's some of my new Queens all minty and all pre 70, most date around mid 50's

I would like to know more about it. I Guess it's original but if not tell me why.
I have a book that says it was made between 1890-1895 and a book that says 1897-1902. Which one is correct?

Top one is a #24B middle one is #11 winterbottom bone bottom is a #30.

Top one is a #16 winterbottom bone needs a blade middle is a #16 bottom is a mystery rodgers bone and a bail a long time queen collector says he has never seen one and the president of the queen collectors said WOW when he saw a picture haven't shown it to him yet.

Top is a queen city snaps like an alligator bottom is real bone scales knife is in need of a restoration.

Wow! Lots of very nice old knives. Most older than my experience. I was struck by the liner lock hawkbill- I have seen very few of them. Posted one a good while back that had a similar, but brass liner lock, and a long SFO serial number - Most people seeing it say if must have been a govt. contract knife. That hawkbill is one of the few knives that Queen has dropped and replaced a different knife with the same "1L" pattern number, only now it is the swing guard lockback. I do not know for sure when it happened but probably just before 1992 when the new lockbacks were first issued.

Beautiful older Winterbottom handles, you just can't beat the original Queen Winterbottom scales.

A melon tester/sausage knife dated to '58-'60 by the tang stamp.

And a electrician - 1980s government contract knife according to a fella at Queen Cutlery.

IIRC that one was mod'ed into this for me by glennbad.

This is the first old Queen I have found in a long time.

That one would be a pleasure to clean up!
Doesn't look like there is much metal missing on either blade.

That's a model 10 Heavy Jack. Measures 3 5/8" and has black composite handles. Made circa 1937-45.
The model 10 had a clip main. The model 18, a spear main.

The model 10 is my favorite Queen to collect. Was made in black composite, winterbottom bone, Delrin and Roger's bone.

I have an old Queen like that but mine is not stamped with any model number and it is just shy of 3 3/4". Actually 3 23/32"
Both blades have half stops. Mine has slightly different composition covers.

Thanks TF I think I am going to leave it as is sharpen it up and drop it in my pocket

The blades are full and have tremendous snap!
