OK, This isn't a rare Robeson coin knife. :wink: It doesn't look like a knife. It's just an old 1905 coin (nickel? quarter?) that someone stamped with a Robeson die stamp. I assume it was done by a Robeson employee.

That particular tang stamp dates from 1917-1939.

This turned up on Ebay last year and sold for $325.00, but not to me, although I would have loved to own it.

The coin is a 1905 Liberty head quarter. With no mint mark the coin in Ex. Fine condition is worth about $75.00. Stamped with the Robeson mark would destroy the value to a coin collector, so I am guessing a knife collector paid $325 for it.

A nice piece of history.
