I have a bunch of this stuff as well but here is a little sampling the genco is a 1922 display and the ad for the dispaly is above it the display razor is machined and weighs 12 pounds now you know why i am no longer married What woman would tolerate spending hundreds for a toy razor . I use the big razor when i have a hangover for a big head. The blade is a mirror. I added a pic of a few straight razors ect.

Thank you gentlemen for sharing these facinating remnents of the past with us.
It amazes me that something that was actually intended to be used once and discarded has survived so many years in such good condition.
These boxes provide us with at least a glimpse into what once was, many years ago.
The pride and concern for quality, even in the packaging, is easy to see. ::tu::

I have to agree with philco........I defy anyone to find a quality product made today that has the superior quality packaging that these knives have/had. Thanks for sharing gentlemen!

There's some great old boxes here! ::tu:: Here's a couple of mine that aren't nearly as old or fancy. A couple Camillus, and a Western scout sheath knife. Any guesses as to the age of the Western?

Great stuff you got there. I love the Western!!! Here is the last of mine which I forgot I had. 2 mint in the boxes Utica Pocket Pards. They were made with gold plated hardware and the celluloid was a match for the Parker Dufold pens of the early 20's.

This knife box thing is infectious! What's the cure??

Charlie ! You've fallen victim to the bad influence of those that you have corrupted in the past.

No cure, but you'll need ever increasing dosages to keep the demons at bay.

That Empire box will look real nice with your collection of their knives, and the Schrade Box looks near mint. ::tu::

Now all you need is a half dozen each of # 750's & 895's to display with the boxes.

I never get tired of seeing that Zephyr box! It is such a great feat of commercial design. The texture complements the knife . . .it belongs in a museum. . . . .I guess it is in a museum of sorts; What's the admission, Hal?

Hi Upnorth, here are the boxes that are hidden below. At one time I was very active in finding cutlery boxes for my collection. Lately they have been hard to find and I have lost some interest in chasing them. They are a valuable part of pocket knife history and should be conserved, in many cases they have an actual photo of the knife factory on the front. I think it`s neat to see the fancy art work on these old boxes. If you consider for a moment that these were never really seen by the general public, the knife factories really made some ornate labels for these old boxes. Enjoy the pictures!
