Thank you LT for sharing those with us. Even my wife, who is not a knife nut like me, was very impressed when I showed her the pictures you posted. I am in AWE!

I've seen some of those pictures before and they never cease to amaze me! Thank you so much for posting them.That is without a doubt the premier collection of automatic knives in the universe!

I have one of Lt's cd's and also, his book. They BOTH should be a part of ANY serious knife collector's library.
A lot of ya'll don't really understand what an authority Lt is on the subject and I feel honored to have an autographed copy of his book in my meager collection. Thank, Lt.

Well said Bill!
Many people, who are considered to be authorities in the field of knife collecting, write books and fill them with pictures of rare examples of fine old knives.
LT also fills his books (and CDs) with rare examples of fine old knives, but there is one huge difference, LT only publishes pictures of knives he owns! His house is a living museum of knives. There are even cutlery displays in his bathroom, (a display of razors to be precise....how appropriate).

When LT writes about a knife, more often than not he has the knife and has held it in his hand. He knows the knife personally. It gives you a different perspective than someone writing about a knife he has seen or seen pictures of.

Both the CD & the book are worth the modest cover price. They are great resources for the serious collector.

Lt has mode than a display of razors in his bathroom..
I was there and remember having problems fitting through the rooms including the bathroom for the displays. I believe I have pictures posted from my visits on my site.

Here is an automatic that was handmade by a friend who is a retired machinist out of the Buick.
The handle was made from a solid block inlaid with Rosewood. I've used it for years and has never failed me!

Sorry these pictures aren't better...it's a great camera....HMMMMM?

No Fran not in Allentown, I am trying to complete a deal for a batch of switches and this is one. Me catching LT would mean he would need to stop buying and me buying for another 25 plus years!!! LOL

And then there are all the non-automatics in his collection which would probably take another 25+ years!

The hard part about catching up with LT is that many of his knives are one-of-a-kind, or one of two or three known existing examples of a pattern. I doubt anyone could equal his collection, even with unlimited funds. LT was in the right place at the right time for many of his knives. LT's collection is truly unique and the result of a lifetime of passion for knives.

I must say though Mike, you have a good start! You have some pretty amazing knives yourself.
I enjoy your posts & the nice knives you show.

Here is my latest, tortoise without the advertising. Blade action is good and they are tight when open.

Now I'm jealous.

Cell or not, the tortoise and the cream & blue are two of my favorites, and I don't have either.
