This Camillus 80 Whittler came in today. Really blown away by the generosity here by many ,and now this particular member just elevated that.
Really don’t know what else to say, giver wishes to remain silent, which will respect. And that I pay it forward, well ,that’s not a problem at all![]()

Nick ,it’s basically the same ,except some milling of the liners from the factory. Not sure there was all that many made compared to the 72 .CluelessNick wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 11:23 pmPlease excuse my ignorance JP but how is this different from a "72". It was considered and also listed in the Camillus Catalogs as The Deluxe Carpenters Whittler, and as JP said, had the milled or what some called jibbed edges on the liners. I think the pattern 80 was introduced sometime around 1954 and stopped around the early '70's.toomanyknives wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 12:36 am

Another Camillus showed up today from the bay. The 49 long line,in great shape, with half stops, and always like a long pull . This is a model number that haven’t really pursued much yet.
Take care .

Beautiful piece of cutlery art, Garry. Graceful elegance at its finest. Great score.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sun Mar 21, 2021 1:25 am Arriving today is the "Encounter" designed by Bob Lum and executed by one of the master smiths of Seki Cut, Master Haru.
The blade is 5" of ATS 34. Handle is G10, also 5" in length. Sharp? Most definitely. Beautifully balanced. Feels like part of one's hand. I feel confident that Mr. Lum was very pleased with the execution of his pattern.
