Thanks Skip!

Of course for the price these come at, they are produced in China but I really like the first two I have!

As long as I keep getting such nice ones, it won't be the last one I get of these.

They have impressed me so far!

The bone looks really nice! I've recently broken my "Nothing made in China" rule a bit, given I've had to order a lot of stuff as of late, and would often throw in a cheap knife to get over a free shipping limit, or because it looked promising.

I just got this for best offer. It has two tang stamps.
A KASTOR
& BROS
NEW YORK
It looks like it's in good condition. When I receive it, I'll check it out. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).
Looks really nice! I've wanted to add one, but the prices on these are really high.
I'm curious about the Stanhope too. I've heard they can be quite fragile, and subsceptible to environmental conditions.

Thank you Cody.

The asking prices for these things usually scare me off, not this time. The Stanhope question will be answered, hopefully favorably, when I receive it.

I just bought this knife for a low, best offer. It will be my latest addition to the zoo. It's another Imperial, 2 blade, "Deer Head" pocket knife. Actually, it looks more like 1 blade and 1 file. Whatever the case, this knife needs help. When it arrives, I'll do what I can with it. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Another cool addition to the zoo. Yeah, be sure to post some pictures when you get her cleaned up. Sometimes they actually surprise you how well they clean up.

Well...... not technically in the mail yet, but should be by Monday. I purchased this Utica Kutmaster from one of the sellers on Etsy. The seller says the blades have good snap. So I will see when it arrives. It seems to have good looking scales, the springs look good, and seems some staining and maybe slight pitting on the blade. The seller had several photos posted, here are three.
When it arrives I will do my usual PMCS and lube, then post some pics.

I've been looking at these for quite a while. Since there are 3 or 4 variations, I had trouble making up my mind. I finally settled on one and hit the buy it now button. I sent a text to several of my Marine Corps buddies showing them what I had bought and one of them liked it so much that he decided to buy one too. The shipping label has been printed but in spite of eBay's notice that it "has been shipped" it hasn't been turned over to the USPS yet. I would speculate arrival sometime next week.
Mike (313 Mike) I agree that it's pretty "busy" but IMO it's better than the competition

. I could do without the etching on the spey blade.

I saw those. I agree with you Jerry, it would have been just as nice if they had left the spey blade blank. My uncle had his 89th birthday last month. I got him the Kissing Crane Vietnam Veteran from this series. He is a double Vet, Korean War & Vietnam. He served from '48 to '73.

Thanks Cody & Smitty,
I had that rule too at the beginning Cody but then broke it pretty fast due to lack of funds.

It's hard to remain enthused about a hobby if your just watching from the sidelines.

I have 3 knives from another made in China brand but I won't do any name calling here. One is very impressive for the price, two are

not so impressive.

I now have two of these RK stockman's and one in the mail. I must say, the first two I have are really nice! I'll see in time if the quality remains consistant.

If so, there are several more of these on my "Must Have Wish List". Stockman's, Trappers & Copperheads are what I have seen so far. You should look at the Trappers. (Jerry)

They have an intersting blade on them. Not sure whatcha call them though.

As I said, I have seen these on the A.G. Russel & SMKW sites but they may be offered by others as well, I haven't checked. Ok, I'll Stop going on & on about em, I just
really like em so far! I
hope my enthusiasum remains unbroken!
Thanks for the compliments everyone, I appreciate it!

Jerry, the covers on your Marine knife are very impressive. I am going to try and find one for my Marine neighbor.

Last night I bought this knife for best offer. It is a Keen Kutter (K30 per seller), 3 blade, "whittler" pocket knife. One of the more difficult CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones to obtain. I'll check it out when I receive it. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s). Here it is in it's present state.

I just bought this knife. It's an ALLEN CUTLERY CO. - NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), 2 blade pocket knife. When it arrives, I'll clean it if it needs to be cleaned. It looks like it needs cleaning. Those of you who may be unfamiliar with this particular cutlery company, the knowledge you seek is here:

Here is the knife.

Technically there are 3 "in the mail" but only because I haven't gone out to the curb to retrieve 2 of them (yet)...
