Taken on this past Sat. in my barn.
Had to move this pile of firewood away from the door where I chuck my wood up into the barn so that I can chuck more wood up into the barn. If my wood guy ever gets around to bringing me some more.

Hi Steve,
My "main" heating system is heating oil. But I use it just to make our hot water and for the heaters in the basement rooms. The heaters in the basement are turned on just enough to keep the pipes from freezing. The real warmth in the rest of our house comes from one good wood stove & a brick chimney that heats up and gives off heat for many hrs. after the fire has burnt out. Like 8 - 10 hrs.
It's a great chimney!

Sure!
If a woodchuck could chuck wood, then a woockuck would chuck, as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
Anyways...,
Took me about 4-5 hrs. to chuck this pile of firewood from one end of the barn to the other. Stacking it would have been at least a 10-hr. job.
And I have enough space without it being stacked so why bother?
And..., stacked or chucked, it all burns the same.
And as you can tell, I have a guilty conscience about being a woodchucker instead of a woodstacker.
