Thanks for posting those pics. I read up on what info I could find on J Neils Lumber, and watched a couple of youtube videos on Shay #5. That is one impressive beast!!
A balloon ride over a belching steam engine would be an interesting experience.

Awesome shots, Santa Fe! I love those Warbonnets.

It looks like the Genesee & Wyoming has a B&P logo, what's that? Thanks!

Love your Independence Day posts. I think I remember seeing a Red White and Blue locomotive in 1976. I was 13, I canβt remember much more. Think we went to the town over Crystal Lake to see it.

A spectacular Spectacular, John, cool video. Now I am hungry for a Butter Burger!
You probably don't have Culver's out there, but selected Culver's restaurants have model trains running on a track up near the ceiling. As I watched your video, the elevated portion of your track reminded me of watching the train at a nearby Culver's, and I now have a craving for a Butter Burger and some curds!

Great shot love the two different colored Locomotives.
Not sure which Warbonnet they have at Union. Years ago it was a static display. Not sure if it is full run mode yet, at least it is on the way to being operational.

It is good that there are those capable, and willing to sink money into restoration/historical preservation projects.
Here are some pics of one I just encountered, as 1967redrider once said, you never know what you're going to see.
Grand Trunk and Canadian National pulling mostly coil cars, first few are CN, NS, and a Gary Railway.....a very short, short line.
