Keeping on the accurate rifle theme...
I have a Sako 75 in stainless, chambered in 7mm Shooting Times Westerner. I hand load for it too and with 140gr Barnes TSX bullets and 79gr of Reloder 22, it shoots under 0.4" with 3 shot groups at 100 yds. My chronograph says it is whistling past the screens at 3394 fps. Because it is so flat shooting, I have used it for taking game out around 500 yds, with confidence, as long as the wind is behaving.
The other fun rifle I have, is a Browning A-Bolt in 375 H&H. I had just done a load development for it with 300gr Swift A-Frames and was verifying the load. The 1st shot out was a bit high, so I dialed it down 4 clicks and shot a 3 shot group... 9/16" c-c, which isn't bad for a heavy kicker.
Last one, I have another Win M70 Classic in 300WSM and did a 165gr GameKing BTHP load for it. I shot a 3 shot group and then tested the scope by adjusting windage 2 clicks left, then 4 clicks right. (then 2 clicks left to put it back to center)
Fun stuff!!

Most accurate revolver I have, is an old S&W Model 14 K-38 Masterpiece, with target hammer and target trigger. 5 shot group example shown is.... Handheld, slow fire, at 25 yds, with 148gr wadcutters...

Thanks Gents and nice guns Dave! Good paperwork too.
By the way it seems I didn't specify. That one round that I put into that two and a half inch plate was at 400 yards. After that I just packed up and left. Figured I would end the great day at the range with a great shot and call it good. Wish you guys lived closer so we could go shooting.
If anyone's ever passing through Central Northern Nevada, let me know.

Jerry,
Good call on quitting after smacking the little plate in the center at 400 yds!
Where you shooting the Federal factory loads in it? Do you hand load?

Thanks Mike! I also have an older Model 15 K-38 Combat Masterpiece and a long barrel K-22 Masterpiece. I was never interested in the K-32 Masterpiece, so I never acquired one. The Model 14 is truly a keeper though.

Up until last spring I had a Model 14-6 that I used for bullseye shooting. Since I got out of that game I traded it towards a Sig 938. Seeing your pic's was a nice trip down memory lane. The K-frame Smith's are always a favorite. Mike

Ahhhh...!!! So, you know how good they are! K-38 Masterpiece was named correctly, in my opinion.

Awesome!!!
My K-38 Target Masterpiece is a Model 14, made in '71, if I remember correctly. The Model 15-2 K-38 Combat Masterpiece was made in '61. The K-22 Masterpiece was made in 1960. They had great craftsmanship back then. The bluing is beautiful.

I sure enjoy looking at those guns. They're really nice.
I've got a Model 19 K frame Smith I like a lot. I think I've got picts of it on this thread. Maybe I'll get some pictures of it on here tomorrow.

On the Colt side of things, I've got these wheel guns...
Four Single Action Army, 3 are chambered in 45 Long Colt and one chambered in .44-40 (to go with my Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .44-40). Three in Stag and one in Ivory.
Can't ignore the Duke holster rig from El Paso Saddlery! It's a beautiful piece of work! I think they've been making them for almost 150 years.
Then the 4" Nickel plated Python from the early '70s.

Thanks! I love the multi-stage action cocking sound of the SAA's. Very unique and distinctive.

Thanks! The SAA's are real history and part of our heritage. I love that stuff!
That Python has gotten so valuable now, I've stopped shooting it. It's also hard to find a gunsmith good enough these days to re-time it, if it should ever need it.

I love it when people call them "cowboy guns"

I only have two Ruger revolvers. One of them was the first handgun I ever purchased, back in 1977. a New Model Blackhawk in 357. I put the Macassar Ebony grips on it to dress it up a little bit. I also installed a Bullseye trigger spring kit. In it's early days, I was putting 5K-10K rounds per year through it.
The other came just a few years later (around 1980) and is the Super Blackhawk, in 44 Mag. Just really fun to shoot.

Good thing your FOID card is current. (I assume)
Are you going to get your CCW or have you already done that?
