Oh yes!
I can't wait to see what you come up with using the 123OT parts!
Some nice bone or stag covers would be SWEET!
I got some Statue of Liberty blades a couple of weeks ago.

Those should make some nice knives!
It seem like some Schrade parts are still readily available while others are getting scarce. I try to buy them when they show up.

You have some plain blades also, Mike? Save one for me.

Yep, I have about 20 of the 123OT blades.
AND... I have a few of the SC524 blades too. I have a set of the liners with the ivory colored covers already attached too. I think I am going to put the scrimshaw knife together and leave the covers plain.

123OT re-handled in micarta, and a cut-down brass linerlock out of a full-size 125OT hunter has been installed.

I don't think I can top this for an example of the 9561 for my collection. I wanted one for years, as I've always found them quite unique in that they had a handy saw blade on board. I was looking for an EDC at least, but prices quite regularly were $50 or more, even in awful shape.
Seller's listing photo was this:
The seller showed a knife that looked a bit used.
Well, that was rather inaccurate. I knew something was off when a big ole' box with a Craftsman logo was the first thing my hand came across when I opened the Small Flat Rate Box.
I suspect it was used and carried, maybe a couple of times, and then put back. There is some slight dust and grime, but not much. Looks like any of my knives after about a month's carry.
Seller had NOT shown the belt clip or box. It's got some rust staining and small scratches, in addition to the crud. Gotta pick up some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers first. They tend to do a great job removing light surface rust without removing or scratching anything else.
I am going to attempt to make my own belt clips; using this one as a pattern. You can find key clips in hardware stores, but they have cheap flimsy shackles and faux leather loops that tear. I'm lucky if one lasts a week with a TL-29 hanging off my belt. The one Schrade has supplied is thick leather, a heavy brass marine clip; held together with a heavy rivet. I know Wichard makes them, but they're a whopping $50. I did find a pack of eight "WWII Surplus" snap hooks that look identical for $15, intended for M1 Garand slings, and I plan to use those as the actual clip part.

all 3 changes of the USA made 285UH Uncle Henrys for my collection.
(Schrade-Walden NY USA, Schrade NY USA and Schrade+ USA tang stamps)

I found this old 8OT on-line with a BIN / best offer. I got it for my grandson as a user. It cleaned up pretty well, and has taken an edge that is amazing. I have carried Schrades since the Walden era and wanted to get my grandson started off right. I have included a seller pic of the "before" condition. You can see that the clip blade was tipped about a eighth inch. Still some etching on the main blade, but that's "character". . . .

Nice catch Pappy. I had that one marked for a second look but didn't act on it.
The blades do look nice and full. That main blade was the only real issue I saw.
Nice clean up job!

I picked up this Uncle Henry 127UH with a broken blade. I cleaned it up and installed a 125OT blade in it.

I found another 34OTY last week. I think I have 3 of these now.
It looks to be in pretty good shape. The blades are full. Doesn't look like it was used much.
Stains in the blades mostly.

Some great Schrades being shown here! I like to save the "Old Schrades" thread for pre-Delrin knives but I guess that is a lost cause now.

Great clean up job on a sweet old knife. Love seeing the old neglected sweeties given second life. Good show.

I appreciate the feedback on my post. My father gave me my first knife when I was a pre-schooler. He taught me to sharpen a knife, and would periodically check it to make sure it was up to par. I cannot remember not having a pocket knife. I have some knives from my childhood; Case, Camillus, Imperial, Pal - I like the Schrades about as well as any knife I ever used.

Great to see some under-appreciated Schrades! Good show!

What part of Kansas? We have some Schrade nuts out of the Wichita area.
