Reminds me of years past when I traveled Eastern KY and would ask for multiples of business cards from other sales reps I met. I would use them (business cards) when I met young ladies at the local watering hole. Had a lot of fun. Never got caught!New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 11:05 pmVERY nice Smitty.![]()

You could always change your name.
Very good eye Rick, especially with my photo. I looked at it with a magnifier and yes it looks like a pin that has been ground toRailsplitter wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 12:11 pmDavid, that is very nice. Right up my alley. Your post has me looking at the brand. Is that a pin I see going through the shield?
Thanks for checking on that, David. I was hoping that the shields on these were pinned but if you don't see it on the backside then I'm not sure what to think.dlr110 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 2:01 pm Very good eye Rick, especially with my photo. match the shield. Of course it doesn't go all the way through and there is not a matching one on the other side. I don't know
why it would be needed to hold the shield in place, but there is one there.
All I saw was Wharncliffe, VG-10 and Carbon Fiber and I was hooked (regardless of where it was made).jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 3:52 pm I looked it up. Fine looking knife but to me (and this is just my opinion) a little much at $42 for a knife made in China. I guess I'm just stuck in the 20 teens.
Those Brother knives are really pretty. If they are as good as they look, you guys have some real winners there!Railsplitter wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:13 pmDavid may have started something. I just ordered this one.
Very nice TMK.toomanyknives wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 6:39 pm Just received a nice Bear and Son Stag lockback today. Very nice knife for the money. Trying to help keep these small companies going the best that I can. Good lockup, nice tight blade, pretty stag, with a nice leather sheath. I'm a happy camper..IMG_1558 (3).JPG

Jerry I have to agree I would much rather buy those that are in the $20 to $30 range, but I just had to have a look at this one.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 3:52 pm I looked it up. That just might be my next one.Railsplitter wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:13 pmDavid may have started something. I just ordered this one.
David, I'm absolutely sure you're right. This knife ticks almost all my boxes.
Beauty, very nice looker. Congrats. Just curious how long you made it between buying knives?Railsplitter wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 11:37 pm Got my first Weidmannsheil. Might have to get another one.
Thanks Ivoryman. I made it exactly 73 days.Ivoryman wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 7:36 amBeauty, very nice looker. Congrats. Just curious how long you made it between buying knives?Railsplitter wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 11:37 pm Got my first Weidmannsheil. Might have to get another one.
Hey, 2 1/2 months is pretty dang good to me. For addicts that's great. And from that Bose stockman to the Weidmannsheil all I can say is you have impeccable taste when you do pull the trigger. You should feel good about lasting that long. Accomplishment. And I say this in support and comradery only, no dissing or slight at all. Ya give me some hope. Congrats and thanks for answering.Railsplitter wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 8:52 amThanks Ivoryman. I made it exactly 73 days.Ivoryman wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 7:36 amBeauty, very nice looker. Congrats.
