Reality did not meet expectations. I'm not real sure what I expected but what ever it was, it didn't show up in the mailbox.

I know very little about the MTech Brand. But the ones I've seen are inexpensive. So I guess you could make it a Truck Knife.

This came in the mail today. Another addition to my Camillus 72 Clone family. It is a Imperial Boy Scout Swell Center Whittler, with black handles, metal Boy Scout Shield, and Has the tang stamp IMPERIAL over PROV R.I. which dates this knife in the 1936-1952 year range, but I am sure this one is from the 50's. This is my second Imperial Scout Whittler 72 clone, but the other one is a later tang stamp.
This one was pretty cruddy, and needed some TLC which included cleaning, oiling and some polishing. It has scratches, and had some light rust inside the wells and the blades were not smooth in opening or closure. As you can tell, a couple of the blades were abused. Now, The Master Clip has good snap, the secondary clip and coping blade have great snap, but the coping blade does have a little looseness side to side. But I am pleased the way it turned out.
Here are some before and after photos.

Received this in the mail today, Shoshui Takeda forged san mai, Aogami Super Blue core with stainless sides. Moriya did the handle wrap in tapered aluminum,(which is similar to a frame handle construction) with bark mammoth and micarta. It has good heft to it and I am very pleased. Well made sheath that holds the knife securely. I sharpened it on a 4k Shapton and a handle wipe down with mineral oil, ready for action.

Mail carrier dropped off this Stanley SL33 Mini-Trapper a little while ago. Yep, she's made in China. That's it for me. My foreign made Mini-Trapper folder is full so I gotta stop buying them now. I'm going to leave it in the clam pak. There's no room in the folder for it.
Note the scalloped spey blade.

Yes, but it is a Mini Trapper to add to the Foreign Mini Trapper Clan that is a part of the Big Mini Trapper Tribe.

Picked up a great one from Knifeaholic today. It's a 1978 Case 6392. 1978 was the year I graduated high school. I had one in high school, and kept it until the 1990's when I was working on my car, and left it under the hood, never to be seen again. I've been looking for one that had similar bone for years, and finally found it. My Birthday is the 30th of this month, so I bought myself an early present! This one won't be working on cars, that I can tell you!

I came across this old Springer knife the other day for $28. I bought it because I loved the gnarly stag on it, plus the knife is a little beaten up and I felt sorry for it.
The tang stamp says "Weidmannsheil" and has the picture of an elk. After some cleaning and some Latamas Quick Release oil it opens great. (In the store it was so stiff that I didn't realize that it was a switchblade!)
I plan to sand out the dings in the rear bolster, straighten the blade, and see if I can fix how it sits proud when closed. I probably paid more then it is worth, but then again a switchblade does impress non-knife people!

How do you fix a proud sitting blade on a switchblade?

Hey Reverand! You definitely didn't over-pay for your knife. German autos are highly coveted by many collectors. If you want to repair it properly, contact Bill de Shivs, he's a member here, cuz he is a qualified Weidmannsheil repair agent, and I'm sure the cost will be reasonable. Once fixed you can decide to keep it, or, sell it, just be sure to do your research on the knife before setting a price, should you choose to sell. You can also ask Bill what price to set. Very nice find, hope you enjoy the knife!
