Throwback Thursday, 2017 - Colorado

Participated in the Weight-pull @44#'s.
Full pull = 16' up a grade, it's less than 2%.
This was his best pull, a respectable 2,230#'s.
(Cart 550# + 14 plates weighing 120# each)
Weight Per Pound Pulled was nearly 51:1

I know I irk those who would rather hate my dogs than to complement them. They can criticize all they want but most of the dogs I've seen on this thread are being 'loved' (fed) to death. My dogs will be around for several years; can't say that for the rest who will surely drop dead in just a short period of time, all thanks to their 'loving' owner.

I do not hate your dogs, I don’t hate the breed.
What I don’t care for is your attitude about them. They are not “better” than others dogs. They are yours.
My mixed breed Lab is not overweight, 60 lbs. Yes she looks like 80 lbs. due to her thick fluffy double coat. I have never owned an overweight dog. Have had labs that lived to be 17 years old and they were cold weather working hunting dogs
She is exactly what I want and need in dog, a companion and a protector.

I also have a dissenting opinion of your attitude.
You irresponsibly let your dog out of your home and it attacked another. Whether by accident or ignorance, it was you who was not in control of your animal and luckily neither dog was injured by your careless actions. Had that happened to me, I would've never opened the door without my dog(s) being safely secured.
*Fence-out laws are designed as tools to protect private property, your fence being open can not afford you that. When you keep any animals, the responsible thing to do is to fence-in your animals which will also serve to fence-out others from possibly entering.

It has taken a while, but my old boy is finally listening to me about the importance of wearing safety glasses.

Ear plugs, on the other hand, is still a challenge.

It just seems to me that dogs and cats increase their value during the winter... as heaters.

Hi folks. Been gone for a bit, but will be back more regular, I'm hopin'.

Show you my pets...... hmmm

, that's a lot of pictures! Considering our five dogs and seven cats.

There's our cats, Jo Jo, Sam, Tux, Sissy, Bubby, Sophie and Banjo. Then our dogs, Sweet Pea, Champ, Babygirl, Odie and Howie.
To say our house can be a bit, shall we say...chaotic, is an understatement!

We've lost four along the way. Our horse, Dakota. Two dogs, Lillie and Trixie. And my wife's best friend, her cat, Sadie.

I will try to post all of them soon.
