Tom, thanks for the additional information on Buck and the BSA. By the way, Buck just issued last summer a SFO for a Council out west - a 100th Anniversary OA Buck 110 - very nice. Buck also keeps a very competitively priced Buck 500 Eagle Scout model on their website for custom ordering (price of $50.00 includes the engraving) - they must have worked out their differences.

Here is the backside of my BUCKLITE - it has the Brotherhood sash embroidery etched on it. I'm thinking there must have been a Vigil and an Ordeal version of this knife as well. I have seen one other version - it had the OA backpack patch etched on it that was in use in 1983 (modernized chief in a feather headdress). OH

Ray, from what I can see in the pictures it looks like there's plenty of rise on the backsprings, how's the "snap" on that 1047?

Jerry the snap is great on it. Not overpowering but great.

That's a good looking 1047 for that money. I got one recently in the plastic tube near mint(IMHO) condition for 24 bucks may be to much but what the hay I'm happy.

A couple of photos of a Keen Kutter scout. Last pic shows the etched on pattern number, likely the reason a lot of older Keen Kutters do not display a pattern number, long ago worn off on most of them.
