Real nice "Pick-Ups" David..dlr110 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:52 pm This is a combination between Mail Call and Knife Finds of the Day.
When I got home from my errands in town the Post Rider had brought me the two Marble's.
I'm not really impressed with the Ram's Horn Canoe, but that Scout/Utility is a well made
knife. I would gladly carry it. On my way home I stopped at two pawn shops. That's an old
Rough RIDER Trapper and is in very good shape. It is one that the shop manager was carrying
and I bought it right out of his blue jean pocket. The yellow handle Trapper was a real find
for me. It's a Moore Maker from Matador, TX. The last one is a 2012 CASE Mini Trapper 6207W SS.
Not a bad days work.![]()

Nice bunch you have there P.o.P!Pirate_of_Plains wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 9:31 pm Picked up these guys. Not my usual niche. I'm into the 70s - 80s Japanese stuff but I went through a Bucket 'o'. Knives at an antique store and these were the best of the bunch
Absolutely excellent pickups Dave. Especially the 07.dlr110 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:52 pm This is a combination between Mail Call and Knife Finds of the Day.

Well, it's really just a whisp of a knife Garry! Only weighs 3g. over 2 oz.'s, and would likely only be useful for opening letters, cutting strings, and such.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:43 pm Marco, something about the ultra thinness of your stilleto makes it look extra "wicked" to me.![]()

Thanks Steve.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:59 pmNope. Not bad at all.
Actually, I'd say pretty durn good!
Thank you Sir. What looks like a dent is the pinched bolsters that several brands are now using. Also my bad photography skills.Madmarco wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:18 pmNice haul David!dlr110 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:52 pm This is a combination between Mail Call and Knife Finds of the Day.

Your Ram's Horn Canoe appears to have a substantial dent in the front-bottom bolster, am I seeing that correctly?

Question for you? I had one of those once and the blades had not been sharpened. Wondering if the blades on yours are sharpened or not? Mine didn’t even have a bevel.FRJ wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 2:49 am Well, I bought this knife is spite of some beautification committee signing off on the swirling apparatus to improve the aesthetics of the bolsters and springs.![]()
I was just so taken with the frame pattern and of course the Cargill name that I decided, if I won it, I would pack it.
Maybe the swirlies would disappear in my pocket in time. I don't care about all the dates and time and place.
I just wanted a nice pearl packer. I think I got one. 3 5/8"
