That knife cleaned up right nicely, Ken. It certainly does look like an Edge Mark or one of the related German makers.

This is a photo I took for the knife photography thread earlier today.

That knife is worthy of a 2nd look Charlie.

It's called the Journeyman model. 7 3/4" OAL with cocobolo handle.

That BRKT looks like a reincarnation of the Western W31 Parachutist from WW2. About the same size/shape with a cocabolo handle with lanyard hole. Have to dig iut a picture of mine.

Wow! That would be a great addition to the collection if you can find one. I was going to say that the BRKT Journeyman reminded me a bit of the German youth knife.....so does your picture. The Linder Pathfinder 9" oal. All three knives have a bayonet-like look to them.

Here is a Western/Boulder, Colo/U.S.A. L40 in good condition. Is this from 1950's ?

Spotted this Robeson Shuredge No.21 with its original sheath in a box of fixed blade knives I have to sell and thought "hmm... maybe not sell." Anyway here it is. I don't know-- 1930s?, 1950s?

Hey everybody. I'm new here, so HELLO! This forum is incredible. I've spent days looking around, and there's so much here.
Here is my custom ordered Chute knife made by my friend, Tim Withers from Stockton, Ca. Tim does incredible work, and his attention to detail is crazy. His soldering and polishing make this knife look like it's one piece of steel
I got the Mammoth Interior Ivory for the scales from Mark Knapp, a knifemaker out of Fairbanks. If You need some great, aged Mammoth, Walrus, Oosik, or any other exotic for Your knife scales, Mark and his wife Angel are awesome folks to deal with, and Mark will cut custom scales for a great price. Anyway, here's my Mammoth Ivory handled Chute.
Tim made an awesome sheath with a pocket holding a bar of Ivory. it has an oval cut out, and another old friend, Ron Skaggs has it right now, and he is going to color scrimshaw a Woolly Mammoth's head and tusks looking straight out.
I should note that there isn't a black dot next to Tim's stamp. It's the camera lens on my iPad. I have several fixed blades, but this one pretty much rocks compared to the rest.

Thanks for the welcome Montana! I have a lot of knives that I know nothing about, and I have a feeling that I can learn a lot from You all. I can't believe that I've never found this forum before. I'll be spending a lot of time exploring here.

Thanks for the welcome comments! I had plans to have Ron do scrimshaw on the knife scales, as well as the little frame on the sheath. Once I got the knife in my hands, the simplicity of the clear Ivory is great as it is. It would be a shame to change the look that it has. I think I'll have Ron do some engraving and maybe a little gold work on the guard, and maybe the pins. I think that rhe Mammoth on the sheath will be just a cool way to highlight the Ivory. Especially with Mammoth Ivory under attack by our know it all lawmakers. With the Mammoth on the sheath, 50 years down the road there will be no doubt what kind of Ivory is on this knife.
I'll never sell it, and Ron and I are from the same town in Illinois, so I think when I pass on, all of my Ron Skaggs art will go to our museum back home. For a small town in the cornfields of Illinois, we have a really great museum there. He is so talented, I think his art should be displayed for future generations to see the talent of the boy from Princeton. Ron deserves that. In the meantime, I really enjoy this knife a lot.
