Great mix. I'd reach for any of 'em or all of 'em.

Dang it I-Man, I don't have any of those models and now you have me wanting more knives that my budget won't allow.

Thanks doglegg.

the RR came in white bone and I dyed it to what it is now.
Had this snappy old Remington and my newest knife, the beavertail 43, with me today.

Great old bones on the Remington, really outstanding.

David, I think that 72 is so close to the one I toted today that the patina on the master blade is in exactly the same place on mine as on yours.

A Case and a CAS today,
Tell me about it soul brother, ahhhhh, welcome to AAPK. Monkey see, monkey doo dooo. I never knew there were so many knives out there that I wanted. Then I saw them flashed and extolled around here. Then I heard the siren song. Couldn't resist. Couldn't afford, just one more for the road. Serious addiction. Watch out, it'll get you too. Walk away while you can still resist. Gorgeous Remington bone there too.

Greg, I also like the bone on your RR & I'm more impressed since you did it! I'd really appreciate knowing how. Thanks, geocash

I carry different knives but the past couple of weeks Iv'e been carrying a German Eye Copper Head pattern. The older German Eyes have excellent steel, and can get one heck of an edge on it.

And it's a nice knife. I have the also Bear-made Remington "Small Trapper", which is basically the exact same pattern, except has wood (walnut) scales, and no serrated skinning blade. Just big enough to be useful. Not too small at all.

The Barlow has no # stamped on the tang. Is this unusual?

Bomba that's some fine wood on every one. Wow, now that's how wood should be done.
Beautiful pair with great bones geocash. Mmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnn. Don't know why no stamp #, but as luck would have it neither does this GEC 14. Guess Cripple Creek SFO people don't like the numbers. Too bad, nice to be able to gleen some info from the numbers.

My 10-dots are numbered but I've seen Barlows as late as the USA era (65-69) with no pattern stamp on either blade. it's not uncommon for the pattern in general although for the 1970s it may be a little strange.

Thanks, I-man, and I agree!

The little Bear is a looker and by no means a POS and the big Queen half-Congreas is one of my favorite knives, full stop. W&T, F&F, handles, blades, all deluxe in my eyes.
I went back to a couple favorites from the EDC pile today...

Tonight while I go somewhere I really wanted to carry a nice 856. This one has been used just enough that carrying it around a little won't hurt a thing but it is not for using. It has a dulled factory edge anyways, and is not something I will ever change. Pocket jewelry you might say, hence the slip.
Of course this 82 is in my back pocket as always, no pocket purses for working knives.

Thanks, Ivoryman. That's a fine Cripple Creek. Obviously a stamp, or lack of a stamp, can be intentional or unintentional. It's just hard to know which, sometimes.

Tsar Bomba, thanks for your input, too.
That's beautiful bone on that 74, or I assume it's bone & I believe it's a 74. I'm sure about the beautiful part, though.

This thing has the "Celebrated" stamp so I believe it was made around '82 or '83 to '94 or '95 & probably came out of the Friedrich Olbertz factory. One reason I like it so much is that the blades don't rub which is uncommon in my little pile of pocketknives.
