Beauty Mark ... that Buck is showing off! I have never seen that one before ... Congratulations!Sharpnshinyknives wrote: βWed Oct 23, 2024 2:29 pm This one came in a collection I recently purchased. Looks like I am going to be keeping most of this collection for my own. This Buck knife is one that I wanted to buy when it first came out in 2010. I was at SMKW and they had one in a display case but it had a broken red arrow head. I think someone must have dropped it. So I passed on this then, but now I have been given another chance to get this one. What a beautiful knife. Love the bloody jasper on this against that black.
Thanks Tony, it is just a knife that got in my brain that I knew someday I would get it. Long search is over.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: βThu Oct 24, 2024 12:55 amBeauty Mark ... that Buck is showing off! I have never seen that one before ... Very nice. The black and red really go well together.Sharpnshinyknives wrote: βWed Oct 23, 2024 2:29 pm This one came in a collection I recently purchased. Are those bolsters copper or copper plated? Or is it nickle and picking up color from the table?Sharpnshinyknives wrote: βTue Oct 29, 2024 1:10 amThanks Jeepergeo, classic combination black and red, and man it looks nice on this Buck.Jeepergeo wrote: βMon Oct 28, 2024 11:59 pmVery nice. Those are nickel silver, just color coming from reflections.Jeepergeo wrote: βWed Oct 30, 2024 4:00 amAre those bolsters copper or copper plated? Very nice. The 112 is a nice pattern and the scale options in the Custom Shop can really make a 112 shine and your's is a great example. And I think the 420HC is a great steel on a Buck because they have really optimized the heat treat with via the BOS process.Railsplitter wrote: βWed Dec 25, 2024 6:13 pm Found this under the tree this morning. I had seen Oak offered before, but not in Dymalux, so I need to check again. I'd really like to get a 112 in black textured horn, but would go with Oak Dymalux if available now.
Distinct and lovely Rick.Railsplitter wrote: βWed Dec 25, 2024 6:13 pm Found this under the tree this morning. Custom Shop Buck 112 in Oak Dymalux, Nickel Silver, and 420HC.
