Two Colonial fruit knives from eBay.
The "California Summer Fruits" is about half worn out. I think someone sharpened out the fine serrations. There is a huge groove in the backspring. Snap is still halfway decent. The "Haas" knife is fine.
Also, I made a trip to our local Ace Hardware affiliate for some DIY stuff. . I ruled Lowe's out along with Walmart when COVID started. Lowe's is typically packed around here. And, most of the Lowe's employees here don't know what they are talking about. The employees of Ace do. And tools--Lowe's is almost like Walmart--Chinamart with a token handful of Channellock. Ace (and the electrical supply house down the street) carries a lot of Klein stuff. Their own store brand is made in capitalist Taiwan, not Communist China.
They didn't have a countertop display for knives, and I didn't have time to check to see if they had any on a peg somewhere. I did pick up some stuff, however.
I picked up some stuff I did need in addition to insulation and a new GFCI outlet for a home repair.
11-in-1 screwdriver. Hold-over until I get to the electrical supply house to buy a Klein--after that, this one's going in my truck. I have a 4-in-1 in a small toolkit I use for quick repairs that aren't heavily involved. A lot of stuff uses Torx these days, and some of the furniture in the house is held together with Robertson screws.
Klein USA wire strippers. I had a really old Ideal pair that are handmedown, but they were shot.
Ace Hardware store brand fence pliers. Made in Taiwan and $15, so a cheaper option. They had no other brand. However, unlike those my folks have, these are not cheap and nasty. Everytthing is machined well, the dual component grips are over some decent metal (as opposed to grips that fall off over very flimsy handles), and the gripper in the top of the head, and the square steeple puller are things those cheap POS pliers lack.
This notch machined into the top of the head should be good for yanking nails out.
I like how the spike is formed on this tool. It seems that it would also be good for general prying.

Received in the mail this old knife, took a little time cleaning up but it turned out alright. Not too familiar with the brand but the tang stamp isn't one I've seen before. Worth the risk for under 20 bucks... half stops, and still has good snap!
First few before pictures, last are the cleaned up and oiled picks.
If anyone can tell me about the age or brand please do!
Thanks

According to Goins, Royal Brand was in business from 1914-1954. With the large kick on the pen blade, I'd guess yours dates a lot closer to the earlier date.

These came in the past couple weeks. The Boker was dirty as all heck. The foam insert in the box is in bad shape. The seller was honest and all in all, I’m extremely pleased with it. It will be a nice rotation edc. The Remington stockman was made by Camillus. Always wanted one, and was stoked with it. The diamond edge Imperial is actually not a bad stockman. Fit and finish is good, and the blade grinds remind me of the Case new grind knives from the early to mid 80’s. Well, I’m back to the game.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
Phil

That Moki is absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations on your new venture with them, wishing I could afford one but it's a little out of my reach
