The Marbles Stockman is from 2001 and was designed by Dave Shirley at Northwoods. Very well built knives and both a highly collectible knives.
::woot:: I'm really enjoying seeing all the different knives everyone has, thanks for sharing yours. ::tu::

Thank you Ripster, I like the RR Knives and I'm buying more of the series sets now. IMHO as a collector, the RR's are a very stylish and a very well made folding knife. I don't think I could put them up with a CASE or BUCK in way of quality or reputation, but they are worthy of EDC. The one you saw in the picture is a medium stockman with buffalo horn handles, black pearl and abalone inlay, nickel silver spacers and bolsters, custom backspring file work and stainless steel blades. I have order 4 others in the same Premium Select Series. If you really want to talk to someone that is more knowledgeable about RR's than myself contact Dan (Oldfolder), I'm sure he could give you some good info.

Colonial did do a lot of interesting stuff with their Large Stockman pattern--there were a ton of different blade configurations and handles. I have plain stockman, an Anvil Jack, and a one-blade linerlock all with the same frame.

I purchased this lot of three off of Etsy this week, after "getting around to buying it" for over a year. "Smith and Wesson First Millennium Run Folding Knife with Bonus Colonial Camper Knife"

As you can see, according to the seller, they thought this was the main schtick to the lot. Like most S&W knives, it is a fairly cheap knife, and is not really that well made. It feels pretty cheap. The opening isn't that smooth, and the thumb stud is too small.
KIMG1915.JPG

I guess because it appeared to be a promo/giveaway knife, the seller didn't think much about the Colonial, and viewed it as the bonus. I was only interested in this knife. But, I've not seen another like it. While CKC did produce pretty much this same pattern as a Girl Scout Knife (albeit, in brown, black, and green wood handles), I've never seen another like this. It has an Idea Tools shield, and has an etched blade for Consolidated Electrical Distrbutors, and "'06" etched on the bolster. Handles are imitation stag pattern plastic. I suspect it was made up by CED and Ideal as a giveaway to customers in 2006. I'm sure CKC would help me clear this up, but the only way to contact them is through social media. They don't have an email address, and the contact form on their website only serves to enquire about becoming a dealer. So obviously, they have no Customer Service. Tang stamp is: "Colonial" over "05" over "Prov. R.I."
KIMG1911.JPG
This little Ridge Runner knife was thrown in with them. It is built pretty cheap, but it cuts. I'm keeping this in my raincoat at all times. Cheap steel that shouldn't rust, these are like $2 new, so cheap to replace.

Here's another one for my category of "not sure why I bid I on it, but now I own it"...

It's a little brass Colonial tuxedo/watch fob knife. I have no idea what the year range would be. I'm always a sucker for little knives with a bail! :D
