Don’t think I have ever seen/counted 166 +-.
We get a bunch of long ones past the shop, these were mostly tankers of ethanol(I think) and hopper cars. We get a lot of long trains hauling gravel for TXDOT for road chip seal. This train stopped me at 12:50pm on my way back from lunch, and we had at least 4 more pass this afternoon, it’s a busy track.

The trains that go by here are not that long. I noticed when I went to the mailbox yesterday I can actually see the top of the train going by. Only one viewing spot.

Talking about long trains BNSF runs double stack trains that are almost 15,000 feet long from LA to Chicago. Normally, they’ll have five units on the head end three units at the swing help and two units on the rear shoving
All DPU’s. I see them at Mulvane Kansas on BNSF Transcontinental mainline. Formally Santa Fe mainline from LA to Chicago and back

You all get so many opportunities for great pictures and to just see the whole railroad in action. Most of the equipment I see by my house is the auto racks.
Thank you very much for the enjoyable pictures

That is about a perfect picture, all kinds of good things going on there.

I was just reading an article in the Detroit Free Press on Watco purchasing a Class III railroad in Michigan. I then looked into Watco, and saw that SKOL is one of their holdings. Watco has quite a footprint in the Midwest.

Interesting that Watco is expanding up north. Yes they do have a good footprint around here. 🚂👍🤠

The boss wanted to visit her dad's grave yestiddy as we were in the neighborhood.
Trains run right through the National Cemetery in Madison Tn. his grave is right by the tracks about 5 or 6 graves from the big tree.

The Tuscon, AZ botanical garden has a very nice, outdoors, model train exhibit. It's worth seeing if you are in the area and like trains and plants.
