@ Dan: Patriotic Fabrics, (my mom & Jim from Texas sent to me) some imitation leathers & the black one is a real cool fabric that feels a bit like rubber. Kinda like a wet suit. If you have someone to sew them together for you, I could send you a couple of them in a card. Just have to let me know.
Once sewn together, you just have to trim the top lid flap a bit and add some self adhesive pieces of velcro. Easy! I guess 95-99% of knifers don't care to use them but I like em to protect my knives from scratches. I have about 20-25 of them now I guess. Different sizes & colors. It's fun to me to pick them out when I pick out my EDC's.

Added a tan leather hangman's knot or hangman's noose lanyard to my new little Lindner Solingen 3" Lock Back knife. Should look a little bit nicer once it get's carried & broken in some.

Thanks John! I thought of you when I tied it this morning. I thought..., "Sure wish I had some wooden beeds like John has to put on this lanyard." But I asked my girls & nobody had any.
Oh well, it fits great in my watch pocket! Been carrying it today.

The leather goes well with that knife. Excellent job, Tom!

Good Choice and design Tom. Is a great match to the pattern of the knife and the tone of the wood handles.

I suspect many of you lanyard guys already know how to do this, but I have always been amazed and mystified by how the "Mystery Braid" was made.
