Beretta dagger, small one. Made by Ichiro Hattori. This is a first class knife. The fit is seamless. Of the many Hattori made knives I have owned, this is my favourite.

Rob, Was looking this thread over again. This knife really captures my attention. The knife I have attached was available at JKD. Actually they sold both in the photo together. My question for you is how much did that dagger cost? This pair is 2490. One is a slip joint and the other is fixed.
Made me curious about that dagger of yours.

I've had it quite a while. It was around $400 as memory serves, last one I saw on eBay was in the $650 range. The fixed blade you have pictured has a Dozier Arkansas dagger look to it.

Thank you. I thought it would be in that price range but after seeing these two, I wondered. That fixed blade has a unique feature. They attached the female end of a snap on the back of the knife so that when it’s sheathed it can be snapped securely to the sheath. I haven’t seen that before. Not sure I like it, a snap is an ugly thing that detracts from the esthetics of the knife. But the ivory on those two is magnificent.

Oh, and heads up everyone. JKD is going to bring out a whole batch of new customs for the holiday season. If you look at the “specials” 1 and 2, almost all are sold out. These two knives, in my posting, were customs that were in that “specials” subheading.
I asked Koki about sales for the holiday and she told me that they are not planning any sales on JKD this season. A big disappointment. But I got an email yesterday about the chef knives. They started Black Friday early w/ 30% off a wide selection of chef knives. So if you are looking at any of those, now is the time to buy. They do have the most amazing chef knives. I enjoy using my Japanese chef knives more than any other knives I have. I created a thread on those a few months back, hardly anyone posted replies. I can attest that once you buy Japanese chef knives they will ruin you for all others.

Those prices seem a little high to me, but that’s a new model to me. I should never have done an Al Mar search on eBay. I already placed a bid on a pearl hawk w/ engraved bolsters and signed by the artist. So many knives I want to buy now. Gary’s collection is inspiring. This thread is a threat to my wallet.

I'm just glad I did not see his collection while still working. I likely would have bankrupted my retirement with similar acquisitions.

Gary, I forgot I hadn’t responded on this latest post. Those are some more beauties. My appreciation for Al Mar has gone over the top after seeing these here. When I search on eBay for Al Mar, I am impressed w/ how many there are out there, and more than a little surprised at the high prices on these. These Al Mars have and hold value very well. I was outbid the other day on what would have been my first Al Mar, and was very disappointed. I am taking an opportunistic approach to my Al Mar buys. Concentrating hard on acquiring all the Mcusta MC-3 series of knives. Picked up 2 more last night and will post those when they arrive. 4 down 3 to go.
Keep the Seki made knives coming!

Another fine import from Japan, few years old and don't know if it was made in Seki, but like Moki in quality pretty much.

Gary, Thank you, I have found these for sale, just not at a good price. I appreciate any help. MC-31D Kasumi, MC-34C Tsuchi, and MC-37C Yoroi. They should be in that order in the photos. The last one is expensive and tends to run 30-50 dollars higher than the others. I got one of the others last night for 83, which is about half what they usually run and the other I found for 115 about 40 less than usual. 36D and 32D.
That seller has the 35D mistakenly listed as the 36D for 115, he had two knives at that price. The 35D is the last photo I have posted, here is the listing on eBay if anyone is interested. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mcusta-Seki-Ta ... SwF5hb3Zr7
I think 115 is a very good price for that one. If I were listing it, I would have it set at 150. I know a few have commented on this one when I posted it last week.

Ivoryman, That stag is beautiful. It looks very similar to Moki. The stag reminds me of some I have seen on some Al Mars. Nice!
