wow Charlie, that is a true piece of craftsmanship, when knife making was a labor of love and not a multimillion dollar industry.

1996 standing dog stag cotton sampler #12 of 12. i probably won't ever get a real old example of this pattern so this will have to do until.......

Must be Sambar being as how sandbar is something in a river,lake,ocean or other body of water. Or a figment of a whole lot of peoples imagination.

I haven't made a sheath for it yet, just finished the knife up last night. That's sambar, I flat sanded the biggest of that warped stuff and darn if I wasn't able to squeeze a set of fixed blade scales out of it. Got any more you want to let go?

Good looking knife! Looks to be comfortable to use also. That's one of many things I look for, comfort. Any knife I buy to use must be comfortable. Nice work!
