Thanks Jerry.
Even a blind Hog, eah?

I should have used a better knife, but I was trying to get the few lock backs I have in one pic.
Maybe I'll try again with something more apropriate.

Here's one I like, although the knife didn't come out very well.
To bad, cause it's one of my favorite knives.

i found my problem was the wrong time of day almost dusk is better or sunrise . to much sun is not good, the glare from the blades messes up the light metering of the camera. hope that helps

It seems to be less about the camera and more about lighting and composition. Well, and maybe a good photo manipulation program.

Oh hell no. I'm terrible at games and seldom win. Not enough competitive nature I guess. However, I do enjoy playing.

And a tripod. As mentioned early a.m. or late afternoon with lower sun best light, overcast also helps disperse light.
My camera one level above base Kodak (at the time) which gave it 4.0 mega pixel vs base model 3.0.
I could probably do better if I read the owner's manual someday. ::nod::

8) If you have a scanner connected to a computer, in a pinch, you can take a very good photo just like scanning a document, and, then save the scan on the Desktop in PDF format for posting in these forums. I have a Cannon printer/scanner which allows me to adjust the size, brightness, contrast, etc., and then preview before scanning. See my post under Sword and Shield of the 4 trappers to get a feel for what is possible.

Flat bed scanners work very well.
I have an old Epson that I do most of my pics on.
The glass is scratched, but it still takes good scans.

I haven't tried that technique yet.
For outside pics do you leave the scanner's door open?
How long an extention cord?
Or is simply having the scanner as close to the window
as possible good enough? Tanx ::smirk::
