Some really nice old whittlers Greg and Joe! I particularly like those tip bolsters like the Remington and the Empire. Think I've got that same pattern Remington around here somewhere.

That is a very smart ebony swell center there. Is that a Shapleigh Empire?
How long are the knives?

Joe as you can see the whittler with the horn handles is smaller than the 6308 which if memory serves me correctly is 3 inches. I've not been able to identify the maker either. The stamp says F N in a dotted oval.

Joe i couldn't find anything in Goins or online so any help would be greatly appreciated. Here' s a close-up of that stamp.

Well, now that I see the stamp I know I don't have it on any of my knives.

We'll keep a look out though.

Gotta post this beaut in here.....Remington R 3583 rehandled by glennbad. Date stamp indicates production from 1921 - 1924

Not a big fan of the pattern, but sure are some purdy knives in this thread...my own low rent additions to the thread, my first genuine imitation tortoise shell, and a yellow whittler. Odd, in that they are cheap knives in a pattern I'm not a fan of, and they both get carried anyway, sometimes

Dave, great Marbles, nice blade choices. Don't get why some don't like the pattern.

Scott - that Remington is a great knife, beautiful new handles. I have not seen many other whittlers with a punch for one of the secondary blades. Actually, I am not certain that I have seen any whittlers with a punch blade! Very interesting knife.

SteelMyHeart - I have one of those Marbles, the one you have in tortoise shell. I like the main blade: the secondary blades not so much.

Here is a Frost whittler from the Japan era, 1980s?

'95 Case Classic 3 spring Whittler, Honey Bone, # 63046. Spear/pen/coping. Modified coping blade was a spay. Modified main Spear spine was ground down to less prominent bump in the swedge near the tip, longer, more gradual sweeping arc now.

Jerry - two pretty half whittlers you have there. That top one with the pocket worn bone is especially appealing.

Ivoryman - Beautiful Case Classic. Is that knife really a three spring knife? Did you do the modifications yourself? I really like the way the spey blade was transformed into a coping.

Hak - nice Schrade. One of my favorite shields on that knife.

Fabulous bones Hak, cool sabre grind too. Sweet knife.

Thanks Mel. I like that one too. Must be from the jigging and hafting as the shield is not worn and she is near mint. Never really noticed that before.
